Abstract: A flexible bracket for forming a joint assembly between two furniture members includes a fastener head seat, a first arm extending laterally of the fastener head seat in a first direction and a second arm extending laterally of the fastener head seat in a second direction. The first and second arms each have valley portions adjacent the fastener head seat and distal portions laterally outward of the valley portions. The valley portions are disposed below the plane of the fastener head seat while distal portions are disposed above the fastener head seat. The flexible bracket also includes a slotted aperture having a head receiving portion and a slot portion, the slot portion dimensioned to enable a head of a headed fastener to slide within the slot portion from the fastener head receiving portion to the fastener head seat without disengaging the slot portion. The first arm valley portion impedes the head of the headed fastener from exiting the fastener head seat.

Abstract: A sealant hose having retained therein a sealant or other fluid material for insertion into a closed system such as an air conditioner or refrigeration system. The hose includes at one end thereof an inlet valve and at the other end thereof an outlet valve. The inlet valve and the outlet valve may be connected to the hose by use of a collar or other securing member. The inlet valve comprises a needle valve for attachment a manifold gauge. The outlet valve is adapted to attach to an air conditioner or refrigeration service port.

The prospecting shovel is designed to reduce the likelihood of sediment exiting the tool inadvertently during use. The device comprises a hand tool with an elongated handle and a bucket shaped working end adapted for scooping sediment from a creek. The bucket includes an open design having a leading end adapted for insertion into a creek floor and an internal ledge therein, whereby the ledge is configured to reduce the exiting of sediment from within the shovel. The design enables a user to scoop sediment from the bottom of a creek by performing a raking motion, whereby the leading end digs into the sediment and the ledge facilitates the retaining of minerals within the device.

Abstract: A self-guided apparatus for repelling birds through various means of deterrence. The device comprises a chassis, a floatation assembly, a propulsion system, and a guidance and control system. The device may operate in either of at least two modes: passive and active. In the passive mode, the device traverses a predefined area, scaring birds away. In the active mode, the device surveys a designated area and, upon detection of birds, propels itself towards the birds and drives them away.
