Publication number: 20210400130Abstract: A method and system for obscured contact sharing is provided. In an embodiment, the method includes receiving at a first user device a request from a second user device to provide an obscured contact, wherein the obscured contact includes a plurality of information elements. The first user device receives from the second user device the obscured contact and data about obscuring at least one of the information elements of the obscured contact. Based on the data, an operating system of the first user device obscures the at least one information element from presentation by the first user device to a user while at the same time being able to use the obscured information element for a predetermined time. The operating system of the first user device removes the at least one information element from contact information storage of the first user device in response to detection of a predetermined time indicated by the second user device or a delete command from the second user device.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 17, 2020Publication date: December 23, 2021Inventors: Stephen Paul Ridgill, II, Ashley Kristin Silva, Aditya Mandhare, Randy A. Publication number: 20210109922Abstract: One or more processors generate a view that identifies the data records of a first database having a back-level version. Instructions are received to migrate the data records from a back-level version to a new version of the data records. Responsive to receiving a query requesting data records of the first database, the version level of the requested data records is determined based on the generated view. Responsive to determining the requested data records are in the back-level version, a migration is performed on the requested data records including changes resulting in the new version of the requested data records. The requested data records are identified as changed to the new version of data records, and the new version of the requested data records are written to a pre-determined storage location and are provided to a requestor submitting the query.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 11, 2019Publication date: April 15, 2021Inventors: Vineet P. Patent number: 10834688Abstract: Disclosed embodiments provide techniques for automated setup of a wireless datacenter. A computer-based wireless management and discovery system communicates with datacenter computers (nodes) via a management service set identifier (SSID). The wireless management and discovery system establishes a list of eligible wireless channels that can be used for the datacenter by scanning wireless channels currently in use. Each wireless datacenter node is assigned an SSID that corresponds to the datacenter. A transmission test is performed to set a minimum transmit power for upstream and downstream communication between the datacenter nodes and corresponding wireless access points. Once the minimum transmission power levels are established, the datacenter node enters an operational mode using the assigned SSID. The setup is accomplished without human intervention. Once in operational mode, the datacenter node performs its intended datacenter function.Type: GrantFiled: August 28, 2019Date of Patent: November 10, 2020Assignee: International Business Machines CorporationInventors: Seng Chai Gan, Gregg Talewsky, Randy A.
