The provisioning may include provisioning a set of resources for the virtual environment. An amount of resources, associated with the set of resources, may be based on the received set of parameters. The virtualization control system may monitor resource usage of the virtual environment; detect that usage of at least one resource, of the provisioned set of resources, exceeds a particular usage threshold; and enable, based on the detecting, a burst usage mode for the virtual environment. The enabling may include provisioning an additional set of resources for the virtual environment. The additional set of resources may include a greater amount of resources than the amount of resources that are provisioned based on the received set of parameters.

An identification of an operating system, a server name, a number of processors, a memory amount, and a disk storage amount is received, and a virtual server is provisioned by provisioning a number of processors, an amount of memory, and an amount of storage resources based on the identified number of processors, the identified memory amount, and the identified disk storage amount. Resource usage of the virtual server is monitored, and additional resources for the virtual server are provisioned if burst resource usage mode is enabled for the virtual server.

Abstract: A utility computing platform includes a virtualization control system coupled to physical server, disk drive and networking resources and configured to partition the physical resources into virtual resources including virtual processor, memory and storage resources. The utility computing platform comprises a customer console application coupled to the virtualization control system, and accessible via an Internet connection to a customer computing system operating a web browser interface. The customer console application enables the customer, through the web browser interface, to create and manage one or more virtual servers within a customer environment by associating an amount of virtual processor, memory and storage resources with the one or more virtual servers.

The invention includes a device for recognizing and translating an operator's verbal command into a digital control signal; a communication device such as a microphone for inputting the operator's verbal command into the recognizing and translating device; and interfacing means for presenting the digital control signal to the apparel manufacture equipment in a form recognized and accepted by the equipment. The method for voice control of apparel manufacture equipment according to the present invention comprises the steps of receiving an operator's verbal command; recognizing and translating the verbal command into a digital control signal; and routing this digital control signal to the apparel manufacture equipment in a form recognized by an actable upon by the equipment. An infrared light linkage may be employed to transmit commands from an operator to the machine's control circuitry.
