Publication number: 20240161629Abstract: To facilitate improved CPDLC interfacing, report messages can be automatically armed and displayed in a threaded message format in the same message panel with other CPDLC messages between a vehicle and a ground system. Upon determining that a report is needed based on an uplink CPDLC message from the ground system, a report message label is displayed on the CPDLC message panel. Once the report is ready, it is automatically armed and the report message label indicates to the operator that the report message is ready to be sent. The operator can also select the report message label in the message panel to display the report message.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 15, 2022Publication date: May 16, 2024Applicant: Honeywell International Inc.Inventors: Randy Odish, Steven Smith, Christopher Heine

Publication number: 20240161632Abstract: In one example, a system includes HMI(s) and processor(s) communicatively coupled to the HMI(s) and a non-transitory computer-readable medium on which CPDLC interface instructions are stored. The CPDLC interface instructions are executable by the processor(s) and, when executed by the processor(s), cause the processor(s) to: generate a CPDLC GUI on the HMI(s), the CPDLC GUI configured to display icons representing a subnetwork, a Current Data Authority (CDA), and a Next Data Authority (NDA) for the CPDLC connection; in response to receiving a command via the CPDLC GUI to log on to a CPDLC session, establish the CPDLC connection with a ground station using the subnetwork and the CDA; generate an indicator or a button in a header of the CPDLC GUI that includes an indication of the subnetwork, the CDA, and the NDA for the CPDLC connection.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 15, 2022Publication date: May 16, 2024Applicant: Honeywell International Inc.Inventors: Randy Odish, Christopher Heine, Steven Smith

Publication number: 20240101172Abstract: System and methods are disclosed to promote safe shoving movements of a train based on train position localization without human-based track operations monitoring. Train position detectors deployed at the end of a track, in parallel to the track, between the rails of the track, or a combination thereof, localize an end-of-train during shoving movements. Each train position detector transmits an early warning alert to an onboard alert device and a handheld alert device for indicating the end of the train is about to enter a pre-configured prohibited zone. The locomotive operator receives the alert on the onboard alert device while workers in the railyard receive the alert on the handheld alert devices. Both onboard and handheld alert devices are capable of generating audio, visual, haptic, or a combination of these warning alerts for the locomotive operator and the workers in the railyard.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 21, 2023Publication date: March 28, 2024Inventors: Muhammad Mohsin Naseer, Mukhtiar Ahmad, Haider Ali, Brent Fransen, Joseph Montgomery, Kevin Pilger, Randy Skarlupka, Kevin Smith, Richard Spitzer

Patent number: 11712029Abstract: A crawfish harvest system and method of harvesting crawfish from a crawfish pond, without entry into the pond by personnel or boats. A crawfish trap deployment and retrieval unit is positioned by a crawfish pond. One or more crawfish traps are attached to a main line, which is engaged with the deployment and retrieval unit and runs into the crawfish pond and around one or more turn points in the pond, forming an endless loop of main line. The crawfish traps can be deployed into and retrieved from the crawfish pond by the deployment and retrieval unit pulling the main line, without personnel, boat or other entry into the pond.Type: GrantFiled: January 13, 2021Date of Patent: August 1, 2023Assignee: CRAWLINE LLCInventors: Jason Badeaux, Bryant Faulk, Justin Bertrand, Randy Smith

Publication number: 20220364742Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to a sunshade system that monitors a position of the sun and adjusts a position of a frame and/or blades based on a position of the sun. For example, a heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) unit of an HVAC system may be exposed to adverse, external weather conditions, such as sunlight, which may heat up components of the HVAC unit and decrease an efficiency of the HVAC system. Accordingly, a control system of the sunshade system may monitor the position of the sun and adjust the position of the frame and/or the blades to provide adequate shading for the HVAC unit.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 17, 2021Publication date: November 17, 2022Inventors: Akash Manoji, Vikas Patil, Amey Deepak Kulkarni, Ashish Shoukat Naikwade, Joseph S. Publication number: 20170282983Abstract: A paving machine for spreading, leveling and finishing concrete having a main frame, center module, bolsters laterally movably, and a crawler track associated with respective aft and forward ends of the bolsters. A bolster swing leg for each crawler track supports an upright jacking column. A worm gear drive permits rotational movements of the crawler track and the jacking column. A hinge bracket is interposed between each swing leg and a surface of the bolsters to enable pivotal movements of the swing leg. A length-adjustable holder engages the pivot pin on the hinge bracket and pivotally engages the swing leg. The holder permits pivotal motions of the swing leg in its length-adjustable configuration and prevents substantially any motion of the swing leg in its fixed-length configuration. A feedback loop cooperates with transducers keeping the crawler tracks position. The paving machine can be reconfigured into a narrowed transport configuration.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 14, 2017Publication date: October 5, 2017Applicant: GUNTERT & ZIMMERMAN CONST.
