    Abstract: A protective housing for the purpose of inhibiting the drying of materials in contact with the roller cover installed on a roller applicator. Applicator shaft seals and perimeter seals around protective housing inhibit the escape of fluid materials from or the intrusion of materials onto the roller cover. A transparent housing enables the user to visually identify the type of covering materials which are in contact with the roller cover.
