  • Patent number: 9215255
Abstract: A method and apparatus for seamlessly transferring content from a first communication device to a second communication device is disclosed. The method includes establishing a communication session with a controller for streaming content and sending a request to the controller for sharing the content being currently streamed at the first communication device. The request includes an option tag indicating a share request and an address of the second communication device to which the content is to be shared. The method further includes receiving a notification from the controller once the second communication device starts receiving the content from a point in time at which the request was sent from the first communication device.

  • Publication number: 20140359431
Abstract: A presentity (160) within a Presence Information Data Format-compliant data structure (120) can be identified. The structure (120) can be comprised of one or more presence elements (122, 124). The presence elements (122, 124) can be associated with the presentity (160) and/or computing devices (162) linked to the presentity (160). The structure (120) can be recursed to a presence element (122, 124) or an element of an ordered list. Presence information (126, 128) from the presence element (122, 124) or element from an ordered list can be obtained. A master document (130) associated with the presentity (160) can be created. The master document (130) can include reference identifiers (110) for one or more sub-documents (132, 134). A sub-document (132,134) can include its reference identifier, a reference identifier to another sub-document, and presence information (126) associated with the presence element (122, 124).

  • Patent number: 8537665
Abstract: A method and apparatus for blocking messages from a sender by a wireless communication device is disclosed. A wireless communication device is provided that receives (230) a selection of a message from a user, displays (235) an option to block a sender of the selected message to the user, receives (240) an instruction to block the sender of the selected message from the user, creates (270) a block document that includes an identifier of the sender, and sends (280) the block document to a server. The block document notifies the server to block the sender from sending messages to the wireless communication device. The wireless communication device also subscribes (245) with the server for a message blocking service and receives (250) a template from the server. The wireless communication device creates the block document using the template.

  • Patent number: 8374328
Abstract: A method and system for adding a caller (102) in a blocked list is provided. The blocked list is stored at a communication server (104). The method includes receiving (604) a call from the caller (102) at a communication device (108). Further, the method includes receiving (606) a set of inputs at the communication device (108) in response to the call. The set of inputs includes a set of instructions to add the caller (102) in the blocked list. Furthermore, the method includes transmitting (608) a call termination request to the communication server (104). The call termination request includes the set of instructions to add the caller (102) in the blocked list. Transmission of the call termination request initiates addition of the caller (102) in the blocked list at the communication server (104).
