  • Publication number: 20230198830
Abstract: A private network is disclosed as having an HA (high availability) cluster and a VRRP (Virtual Router Redundancy Protocol) router for each of several nodes within the HA cluster. The VRPP router tracks each worker node in the cluster and provides a reliable service that run on the cluster of nodes. Track worker nodes are closely tracked using the VRRP router for each node. Node failures are immediately acted upon. In addition, a load balancer layer allows the amount of resources being used at any particular time to be balanced between the different nodes in the cluster.

  • Publication number: 20230134430
Abstract: A method and apparatus for allocating network resources, including computational nodes available for hosting network functions, such as 4G EPC (Evolved Packet Core) functions and/or 5GC (fifth generation Core) functions. An orchestrator monitors various network operational parameters in order to determine the most efficient allocation of resources (i.e., to determine which computational resources to allocate to hosting which network functions) at each particular point in time based on the network load and resources available.

  • Patent number: 8719444
Abstract: An apparatus and a method for delegating commands for a network attached storage system is described. A command permission associated with a command to be executed on a Network Attached Storage (NAS) server is delegated to a user of a NAS client having a mounted network filesystem of the NAS server. The command is issued through the filesystem of the NAS client.

  • Patent number: 8341363
Abstract: Snapshots of data and metadata associated with the data are created. The snapshot of the data is separate from the snapshot of the associated metadata. The snapshot of metadata is maintained locally in a cloud network attached storage (NAS) and globally. The snapshot of data is maintained according to an accessibility metric. Snapshot of metadata is transmitted from a backup remote site to a cloud network attached storage (NAS). A request for data corresponding to the metadata is received from the cloud NAS. The requested data is not available at the cloud NAS. The requested data is transmitted from the backup site to the cloud NAS.

  • Patent number: 8306948
Abstract: The disclosed embodiments describe interactions and synchronization techniques for global deduplication file systems. In one embodiment of the invention, a method and system implements a global deduplication file system between a plurality of interconnected systems located in different locations globally by making use of the deduplication dictionary included in metadata being periodically snapshot. In yet another embodiment of the invention, a method implements a global deduplication file system between a plurality of interconnected systems located in different locations globally and provides appropriate read/write locks.
