Payload-receiving fixtures are described that can be used in conjunction with the rail system, allowing for large cargo, such as wind turbine blades, to be transported by aircraft. Methods of loading a cargo aircraft can include advancing the large payload into the interior cargo bay of the aircraft such that at least one of the payload-receiving fixtures rises relative to a plane defined by the interior bottom contact surface of the forward portion of the interior cargo bay.     Abstract: Techniques are described for enabling concurrent and non-blocking replication object deletion during cross-region replications. In some embodiments, in a target file system, a target replication pipeline as part of a cross-region replication, and a deletion pipeline operate in parallel. The deletion pipeline deletes processed objects reaching the last pipeline stage of the target replication pipeline after each checkpoint in the target replication pipeline. In some embodiments, after a non-recoverable failure during the cross-region replication, the cross-region replication can be restarted from the beginning (i.e., fresh restart) without waiting for its unused objects in the Object Store to be deleted by utilizing a generation number associated with each object to delete the unused objects in a background process while allowing deleting processed objects as normal for the freshly restarted cross-region replication.

The novel SMAC mimetics disclosed in the present invention binds to BIR-2 and BIR-3 domains of the XIAP and exhibit high anti-proliferative activity against variety of mammalian cancer cell lines that include but not limited to chemotherapy and TRAIL resistant cell lines.

The switchable waveplate assembly includes quarter-wave plates on opposing sides of a switchable liquid crystal layer, and electrodes on the quarter-wave plates in the volume between the quarter-wave plates. The electrodes can selectively establish an electric field and may serve as an alignment structure for molecules of the liquid crystal layer. Portions of the adaptive lens assembly may be manufactured by roll-to-roll processing in which a substrate roll is unwound, and alignment layers and liquid crystal layers are formed on the substrate as it moves towards a second roller, to be wound on that second roller.

Alternatively, the union can be taken first and then the margins applied. A homogenous space reservation can be determined based upon a variety of differently shaped or sized payloads, including a margin build-up to mitigate risk of unknowns associated with future changes in specific payload shapes and sizes, build tolerances, environmental conditions, and/or loading and unloading motions and clearances. Once this space reservation is known, it is possible to design an external shape of a carrying vehicle by staying outside of this space reservation.

    Abstract: A hybrid matching approach can be used for computer vision that balances accuracy with speed and resource consumption. Stereoscopic image data can be rectified and downsampled, then analyzed using a semi-global matching (SGM) process. The use of downsampled images greatly reduces time and bandwidth requirements, while providing high accuracy disparity results. These disparity results can be provided as external hints to a fast module that can perform a robust matching process in the time needed for applications such as real time navigation. The external hints can be used, along with potentially other hints, to define a search space for use by the fast module, which can result in higher quality disparity results obtained within specified timing constraints and with limited resources. The disparity results can be used to determine distances to various objects, as may be important for vehicle navigation or robotic task performance.

The primary mapping mode is categorized according to a first type comprising tunnel colorization, while the fallback mapping modes are categorized according to types other than tunnel colorization.
