  • Publication number: 20230313117
Abstract: An improved fluid filtration system is described. The system uses improved sensor assemblies to avoid the problem of biomass build up and reduce the holdup volume of liquid outside of the process vessel. It significantly enhances the performance, robustness and consistency of the filtration.

  • Publication number: 20220090140
Abstract: A method for purifying a viral vector from a solution including the viral vector and host cell proteins (HCP) is provided. The method includes circulating the solution across an ultrafiltration/diafiltration membrane using tangential flow filtration (TFF) mode with continuous addition of diafiltration buffer. The method further includes filtering the solution across the ultrafiltration/diafiltration membrane to provide a permeate and a retentate. The retentate is collected such that a purified viral vector solution is obtained and retained in the retentate. A volume of the retentate is kept constant by the continuous addition of diafiltration buffer and the HCP is filtered out via the permeate.

  • Publication number: 20140170748
Abstract: This invention provides for methods of growing anchorage-dependent cells (e.g. hUTC) in culture medium comprising amino acids, vitamins, salts nucleosides, insulin, transferrin, ethanolamine and sodium selenium, wherein the culture medium is supplemented with serum. The method further comprises addition of a serum-free nutrient solution comprising amino acids, vitamins, salts nucleosides, insulin, transferrin, ethanolamine and sodium selenium. The invention also provides for culture media and serum-free nutrient solutions for growing anchorage-dependent cells.

  • Publication number: 20070292945
Abstract: A method for culturing cells in a plastic culture vessel is provided. The method is suitable for use when it is desirable to have a small hydrophobic molecule present in the cell culture media at some point during incubation. A plastic cell culture vessel is also provided which is made of a light blocking material capable of blocking exposure of the biological fluid within from light.
