  • Publication number: 20090292193
Abstract: The present invention describes physiological sensors embodiment having a pressure ring around the sensors. The pressure ring embodiment is compressible and stretchable and non shearable. One or more electrode sensors embodiments are integrated to a stretchable strap that can be worn by a person on the torso. This system is capable of monitoring and measuring physiological information of the wearer more accurately and reliably and providing a comfortable to wear platform at the same time. Further the sensors in the embodiment can be replaced by actuators and used as an actuator embodiment with lesser motion artifacts.

  • Publication number: 20090231143
Abstract: The present invention discusses controlling physiological information monitoring device or environmental monitoring device or location monitoring device mobile telephone or data network. In addition this system is capable of sending the information to the controller or the user by converting the information into multimedia massages (MMS) such as graphics voice and video. In this way the information can be send to the user in high fidelity, high reliability, better power efficiency, and economically in pseudo real time.

  • Publication number: 20090223946
Abstract: A flexible thermal radiator made by using two comb powering conductors to power the electrical heating element. The electrical current passes from one powering conductor to the other through the electrical heating element. The comb powering conductors provide an even distribution of currents throughout the structure and hence maintain a uniform current density that results in uniform temperature distribution of the structure avoiding hot-spots.

  • Publication number: 20090227965
Abstract: Motion artifacts less electrode for bio-potential measurements and electrical stimulation is discussed under the present invention. Three different arrangements of the electrode are introduced. Further the electrode embodiments are generalized for reducing motion artifacts of any skin contact senor or an actuator embodiment. In addition a piggy backed daisy chained sensor nodes or actuator nodes cabling system is introduced to minimize the motion artifacts further. A PPG sensor is constructed according to the generalized sensor embodiment and this PPG sensor is used for constructing an ear wearable heart rate monitoring unit. Moreover an ear wearable EEG monitoring system based on piggy backed daisy chained sensor or actuator nodes and caballing arrangement is illustrated.

  • Publication number: 20090227853
Abstract: A new PPG/SpO2 based ear hook sensor was constructed with the PPG/SpO2 sensors are attached to the skin in the regions of superficial artery and vein (010) and posterior auricular artery and vein around the ear (011 of FIG. 1C). An ear wearable heart rate monitor is constructed with PPG/SpO2 sensors are attached to the skin in the regions of superficial artery and vein (010) and posterior auricular artery and vein around the ear (011 of FIG. 1C) (temporal region of the head). This sensor system is less vulnerable to motion artifacts hence capable of producing high quality PPG signals under motion conditions such as running and exercising.

  • Publication number: 20090026056
Abstract: An electronic switch comprises electrodes (6) incorporated in a textile structure (4). The electrodes form contact faces exposed at the surface of the structure, and available for engagement simultaneously by a body part such as a finger (10). The electrical conductivity at the surface of the body part completes an electrical connection between the electrodes (6), which can complete an electrical circuit to generate an output signal. The output signal can be used to activate a number of functions.
