    Abstract: A combined apparatus for removing grit and grease from sewage includes a tank and a sewage inlet conduit extending into the tank. A mixing eductor receives incoming sewage and aeration is provided within the mixing eductor for upward flow. A down draft baffle outside the mixing eductor recives the aerated fluid and transports it downwardly to enable grit to settle out of the influent. The tank has a volume sufficient for settling substantially all grit from the influent sewage and separating substantially all grease.
