Abstract: A portable electronic device having a relatively flat, wide shape which is readily and comfortably worn around an individual's neck and is specifically designed to remain secure during physical activities, such as jogging or walking, and may be worn as a fashion accessory. The necklace includes a case for carrying a radio receiver, a flexible wide band connected to the case for securing the radio to the neck area of the user and at least one earphone. The subject invention also includes a fastener means for securing the band in a closed loop around the neck to form the necklace and providing a one-size-fits-all design.
