  • Patent number: 11033282
Abstract: An orthopaedic reamer includes a shell and a cutting tooth arrangement formed in the shell. The cutting tooth arrangement includes a cutting tooth having a predefined profile with a cutting edge having a cutting depth, and a depth-of-cut feature positioned forward of the cutting tooth, relative to a direction of movement of the shell at the location of the cutting tooth. The depth-of-cut feature has a control depth which controls a cutting depth of the cutting tooth during surgery.

  • Patent number: 7287956
Abstract: The turbine includes a diaphragm having a seal carrier mounted in opposition to seal teeth carried by the rotary component. The seal carrier includes a seal face having a coating of abradable material enabling the rotary component to abrade the material from the seal face. The seal carrier is removable from the diaphragm and is carried by an axial extension integral with or removable from the outer diaphragm ring. A spring may be interposed between the seal carrier and the stationary component.

  • Publication number: 20070118137
Abstract: A method of manufacturing an orthopaedic reamer includes the steps of: forming a shell having a cutting face; cutting a plurality of openings in the shell, each opening defining a cutting edge of a tooth and a pair of relief cuts extending transverse from opposite ends of the cutting edge, each relief cut terminating at a base end; and bending each cutting tooth in a single bending operation about an axis extending between the base ends, with each cutting edge having a shape after the bending step which is predefined by the cutting step.
