  • Publication number: 20240091301
Abstract: The present invention provides apelin receptor (APLNR) modulators that bind to APLNR and methods of using the same. The invention includes APLNR modulators such as antibodies, or antigen-binding fragments thereof, which inhibit or attenuate APLNR-mediated signaling. The invention includes APLNR modulators such as antibodies, or antibody fusion proteins thereof, that activate APLNR-mediated signaling. According to certain embodiments of the invention, the antibodies or antigen-binding fragments or antibody fusion proteins are fully human antibodies that bind to human APLNR with high affinity. The APLNR modulators of the invention are useful for the treatment of diseases and disorders associated with APLNR signaling and/or APLNR cellular expression, such as cardiovascular diseases, angiogenesis diseases, metabolic diseases and fibrotic diseases.

  • Publication number: 20230371927
Abstract: An ultrasound image processing method according to an embodiment of the present disclosure includes transmitting and receiving an ultrasound signal to and from an object through an array in which a plurality of apertures are arranged along one direction, calculating at least one of a transmission delay and a reception delay of the ultrasound signal, and forming a multi-beam through synthetic focusing by reflecting the calculated delay on the ultrasound signal received by the array, wherein the calculating of the delay is calculated through a propagation shape model in which the ultrasound signal transmitted or received through the array is centered on virtual sources parallel to the array.

  • Publication number: 20150157979
Abstract: Methods and systems for sequestering carbon dioxide and generating hydrogen are disclosed. In some embodiments, the methods include the following: dissolving an iron based material that includes a carbonate-forming element into a solution including the carbonate-forming element and iron; increasing a pH of the solution to cause precipitation of iron oxide from the solution thereby generating a first source of Fe2O3; reacting the carbonate-forming element in the solution with a first source of carbon dioxide to produce a carbonate thereby sequestering the carbon dioxide; oxidizing the first source of Fe2O3 with a carbonaceous fuel thereby generating a second source of carbon dioxide and iron; and oxidizing the iron with steam thereby generating hydrogen and an iron oxide. Some embodiments include producing iron-based catalysts.

  • Publication number: 20120192477
Abstract: Systems and methods for loading and unloading a magazine are comprised herein. An apparatus described herein includes a magazine that has chamber for storing ammunition. A toll that is used for loading and unloading ammunition into the magazine. The tool includes a reservoir container that is defined by three sides of the tool. The reservoir container is configured to hold ammunition cartridges. A funnel interacts with a proximal end of the reservoir container and is configured to route ammunition from the reservoir container into a single row in a repository channel. A loading press that is sized for insertion into the reservoir container and the repository channel, is used, when inserted, to guide ammunition through the tool and into the magazine.
