  • Patent number: 10412804
Abstract: A thermal foldback control system electrically connected to a light emitting diode (LED) driver. The thermal foldback control system including a temperature sensitive circuit and a shunt regulator. The temperature sensitive circuit includes first and second resistances that vary in response to a temperature at a reference point. Wherein the temperature sensitive circuit outputs a reference voltage based on the first and second resistances. The shunt regulator is configured to control a driver output of the LED driver based on the reference voltage.

  • Patent number: 9967939
Abstract: A thermal foldback control circuit electrically connected to a light emitting diode (LED) driver. The thermal foldback control circuit includes a voltage divider and a shunt regulator. The voltage divider includes a first resistor component, a second resistor component in a series-type configuration with the first resistor component, and an output. The first resistor component has a first resistance and the second resistor component has a second resistance that varies in response to a temperature at a reference point. The output is configured to output a reference voltage based on the first resistance and the second resistance. The shunt regulator is in a parallel-type configuration with the voltage divider and is configured to receive the reference voltage and control a driver output of the LED driver based on the reference voltage.

  • Patent number: 9890945
Abstract: A lighting assembly is provided having a housing supporting a lighting source such as a plurality of LEDs, a reflector having a central opening for the light source, a light transmitting cover and a frame attached to the housing to couple the frame and the light transmitting cover to the housing. The reflector has an outer perimeter with a channel formed in the top face and the bottom face for a continuous seal member. The frame is coupled to the housing to capture the frame and the light transmitting cover between the frame and the housing so that the seal members form a weatherproof seal between the light transmitting cover and the frame and between the frame and the face of the housing.
