Publication number: 20210040186Abstract: The invention provides a method for obtaining a broadly neutralizing antibody (bNab), including screening memory B cell cultures from a donor PBMC sample for neutralization activity against a plurality of HIV-1 species, cloning a memory B cell that exhibits broad neutralization activity; and rescuing a monoclonal antibody from that memory B cell culture. The resultant monoclonal antibodies are characterized by their ability to selectively bind epitopes from the Env proteins in native or monomeric form, as well as to inhibit infection of HIV-1 species from a plurality of clades. Compositions containing human monoclonal anti-HIV antibodies used for prophylaxis, diagnosis and treatment of HIV infection are provided. Methods for generating such antibodies by immunization using epitopes from conserved regions within the variable loops of gp120 are provided. Immunogens for generating anti-HIV1 bNAbs are also provided. Furthermore, methods for vaccination using suitable epitopes are provided.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 28, 2020Publication date: February 11, 2021Inventors: Po-Ying Chan-Hui, Steven Frey, Ole Olsen, Jennifer Mitcham, Matthew Moyle, Sanjay K. Publication number: 20210016921Abstract: A foldable rectangular plastic/composite enclosure having first, second, third and fourth sides connected by hinges. The enclosure folds flat by rotating the sides on the hinges but is constructed to fold only in one direction. The hinges allow the enclosure to be folded flat for storage and transportation. The hinges are composed of a plurality of hinge members wherein each hinge member is positioned in a housing. The housing has an open interior which helps anchor the enclosure in the ground. An insertable locking pin can be inserted through each hinge to prevent the enclosure from folding. The enclosure can be made of plastic/composite imbedded with fibers such as carbon fibers, glass fibers, or ceramic fibers or imbedded with particles such as glass particles. The use of plastic/composite and various openings or cutouts makes the enclosure light weight.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 25, 2019Publication date: January 21, 2021Inventors: Dustin Kyle Nolen, Raymond George Thompson, Selvum Pillay

Patent number: 10769851Abstract: A method for producing a scaled-up solid model of microscopic features of a selected surface. A selected surface on a piece of metal exposed to friction, for example, is scanned with a profilometer along X, Y, and Z coordinates to obtain measurements of surface features. A 3-D high resolution spatial map of the surface features is made and the X, Y, and Z measurements are scaled up as desired. The spatial map is transposed into a high resolution 3-D scaled-up meshed surface. A data set of printing instructions is made from the 3-D scaled-up meshed surface acceptable for use in a 3-D printer. A solid scaled-up model of the selected surface is manufactured in the 3-D printer in any desired size using the printing instructions. The method provides a physical hand-held model of the selected surface that can be used to demonstrate accurately the effectiveness of lubrication and anti-friction products, both visually and by touch.Type: GrantFiled: April 29, 2018Date of Patent: September 8, 2020Inventors: Dustin Kyle Nolen, Raymond George Thompson, Alex F Farris, III

Patent number: 10731372Abstract: Disclosed is a utility pole formed as a hollow tube having a pentagonal exterior surface with the junctions of the sides of the pentagon each forming a dove tail channel. An interior surface of the hollow tube is round to allow insertion of round reinforcing sleeves. A mounting member is configured for attachment to the dove tail channel on an exterior of the hollow tube by means of a cam fastener system in an interior of the mounting block. The cam fastener system has a plurality of cams mounted rotatably on a pair of hinges, configured to allow the cam fastener system to open and close in an interior of the dove tail channel. The cam fastener system can be directly inserted into or removed from a dove tail channel anywhere along the length of the dove tail channel by closing it. The cam fastener system fastens the mounting member to the dove tail channel by opening the cam fastener system when it is in the interior of the dove tail channel.Type: GrantFiled: August 26, 2019Date of Patent: August 4, 2020Inventors: Dustin Kyle Nolen, Raymond George Thompson
