  • Publication number: 20220416420
Abstract: A long-range wireless power transfer system 100 is disclosed. The system 100 comprises at least a transmitting antenna 110 that is configured to receive electric power from a power source as an input, convert the input electric power into electromagnetic energy, and radiate the electromagnetic energy into free space as a directional beam that is a collimated or substantially collimated beam. The rectifying antenna 130 is positioned or configured to be positioned at a distance from the transmitting antenna 110. The rectifying antenna 130 is configured to receive the directional beam and convert the electromagnetic energy into electricity. In certain embodiments, the system 100 utilise one or more phase correcting devices 120, 122 to maintain the directional beam as the collimated beam and to increase a range to which the directional beam is maintained as the collimated or substantially collimated beam.

  • Publication number: 20220202336
Abstract: In one embodiment the invention provides a process of capturing a biopotential signal at a surface of a body using a sensor receiver which forms a first signal connection the body wherein one or more parameters of impedance of the first signal connection are unknown. The process comprises receiving the biopotential signal at an output of a first signal channel having a first transfer function which is dependent on the one of more unknown first impedance parameters. The process also comprises receiving the biopotential signal at an output of a second signal channel having a second transfer function dependent on the one of more unknown first impedance parameters. The process also comprises deriving a set of relations for the biopotential signal.

  • Patent number: 6218978
Abstract: A frequency selective surface includes at least one frequency selective layer (1) made up of an array of electrically conductive elements (2, 2a, 2b), at least one frequency selective layer (3) having an array of non-conductive apertures (4) therethrough overlaying the element layer (1) and a dielectric layer separating the two layers (1, 3). The element layer (1) is complementary in plan view to the aperture layer (3). The element layer (1) and the aperture layer (3) are rotated through 90 degrees in plan with respect to each other and substantially parallel to one another and the element array and the aperture array have the same periodicity.
