    Abstract: An RFID-PLC includes an RP tag mounted on a vehicle trailer, which is coupled to a power line communication system coupled between the trailer and a tractor. An RFID interrogator subsystem in the RP tag wirelessly obtains data from the RFID container tag and transmits the RFID date through the tractor-trailer PLC system. A PLC telemetric unit communicates with external satellite and computer based host systems through cellular, satellite, Wi-Fi 802 and BlueTooth Cellular communications.
