  • Patent number: 6868953
Abstract: A concrete chute apparatus for preventing the accidental discharge of cement residue from the chute of a cement truck while the truck is moving is disclosed. To attain this, an abutment plate obstructs the opening of a cement truck caused by the folding of an articulated chute. In an embodiment, an abutment plate is rigidly affixed to an over-chute section of the articulated chute such that the plate obscures the concrete path when the over-chute section is rotated to the up position.

  • Patent number: 6833035
Abstract: A processor for processing integrated circuit wafers, semiconductor substrates, data disks and similar units requiring very low contamination levels. The processor has an interface section which receives wafers in standard wafer carriers. The interface section transfers the wafers from carriers onto novel trays for improved processing. The interface unit can hold multiple groups of multiple trays. A conveyor having an automated arm assembly moves wafers supported on a tray. The conveyor moves the trays from the interface along a track to several processing stations. The processing stations are accessed from an enclosed area adjoining the interface section.

  • Patent number: 5216963
Abstract: A technique for cutting and selectively edge, face or flat setting brick or similar articles. The machine includes a cutter bank for receiving the slugs from a pusher and a device for selectively moving the cutter bank between an operable position and an inoperable position with respect to the pusher. An elevator is located downstream of the cutter bank for receiving bricks from the cutter bank. A controller is connected to the pusher and the elevator whereby the pusher and the elevator are operated in a cooperative relationship.

The machine includes a conveyor assembly having a plurality of parallel, spaced-apart belts for moving the bricks, a stop for stopping the movement of bricks therepast, a lift disposed between the conveyor belts for lifting and redepositing a portion of the bricks, and a controller connected to the conveyor assembly, stop, and lift whereby the conveyor assembly, stop, and lift are sequentially operated in a cooperative relationship to set the rows of brick in pre-determined patterns.
