  • Patent number: 10773001
Abstract: A directed media separation system includes components for directing a consistent collapse of a media separation device in response to a varying pressure from a pressure source. The media separation device can be removably connected to a directing element. The directing element can have a directing geometry that affects the collapse of the media separation device. The media separation device can have a preset geometry that collapses in a predictable and repeatable manner from the applied pressure.

  • Publication number: 20170056573
Abstract: A mechanical over-vacuum safety system and method of use for a vacuum pump system designed to extract milk from lactating mothers. The over-vacuum safety system includes at least one mechanical safety valve configured to reduce a vacuum in the pump system given an over-vacuum condition. The mechanical safety valve(s) may be automatically actuated in response to specific vacuum ranges, such as an over-vacuum conditions ranging between negative 350 mmHG to negative 300 mmHG. The mechanical safety valve may allow fluid flow by folding.

  • Patent number: 7913670
Abstract: A fuel delivery system includes a fuel tank having at least a main chamber. A reservoir is disposed in the main chamber. A fuel pump and venturi jet structure are provided in the reservoir. The venturi jet structure includes a jet inlet having a nozzle for receiving fuel from the fuel pump. A fuel inlet tube structure has a first end associated with the nozzle and a second end extending into a portion of the fuel tank. A mixing tube is in communication with, and downstream of, the jet inlet and the fuel inlet tube structure. An outlet is in communication with, and downstream of, the mixing tube. A length of the fuel inlet tube structure is greater than a length of the outlet, and the mixing tube is mounted so that an axis thereof is generally horizontal ±39.90 degrees with respect to the bottom surface of the reservoir.

  • Publication number: 20080087349
Abstract: A method provides a tube for a fuel delivery module. The tube (16) is preferably constructed and arranged to be fluidly coupled between a fuel filter and a fuel pump of the module. The method includes molding a hollow tube (16) including a first portion (18) and a second portion (24) integral with the first portion. Each of the first and second portions has an opened end (20, 26), with the opened ends communicating with each other. Each opened end has axis (A, B). The axis (B) of the opened end of the second portion is generally transverse with respect to the axis (A) of the opened end of the first portion. The method further includes pre-forming the tube such that the axis (B) of the opened end of the second portion is generally parallel with respect to the axis (A) of the opened end of the first portion, with the opened ends facing the same direction.

  • Patent number: 7281960
Abstract: A method provides wiring associated with a flange of a fuel delivery module for use in a fuel tank of a vehicle. The method includes molding a plastic flange 12 of a fuel delivery module, with the flange defining an inside region 11 and an outside region 7. At least one terminal 20? is provided that is accessible from the outside region of the flange. An electrical connection 28 is established between the at least one terminal and a wire 16?. In one embodiment, plastic material 25 is molded directly over a) the connection 28, b) at least a portion 32 of the wire 16? and c) at least a portion 34 of the terminal 20? to seal the connection, the portion of the wire, and the portion of the terminal between the inside region and outside region of the flange. In another embodiment a pre-formed plastic body encapsulates the connection 28 and the body is placed in a flange mold and plastic material is over molded to encapsulate the portion of the terminal while molding the flange.
