Patent number: 8214935Abstract: Pop-up fountain embodiments are provided which successfully combine aesthetics, utility and ease of installation and are thus especially suited for installation into spas, hot tubs, pools and the like. Different embodiments include a fountain body and a fountain valve which is slidingly received in the body. The valve terminates in a cap which substantially fills an aperture of the body when the valve is in a quiescent position. Applied water pressure forces the valve into an energized position where the form of the valve directs water laterally in an aesthetically-pleasing pattern. The valve preferably includes a deflector which is arranged below the cap and configured to control and enhance the lateral deflection.Type: GrantFiled: January 31, 2007Date of Patent: July 10, 2012Assignee: B & S Plastics, Inc.Inventor: Raymundo Colin

Patent number: 7644452Abstract: A hydrotherapy jet comprising a jet body having a water inlet and an air inlet to allow water and air to flow into the jet body from water and air conduits, respectively. A diffuser is housed within that jet body and is rotatable within the jet body to control the amount of water flowing into the jet body. The water and air inlets are rotatable about the longitudinal axis of the jet body to align the water and air inlets with the water and air conduits, respectively.Type: GrantFiled: August 20, 2004Date of Patent: January 12, 2010Assignee: B & S Plastics, Inc.Inventor: Raymundo Colin

Publication number: 20060253971Abstract: A gasket for providing a watertight seal between a spa wall hole and spa component comprises a front extension at least partially covering the front surface around the spa wall hole. A rear extension at least partially covers the back surface around the spa wall hole. The spa component has a front portion and a back portion, with the front extension sandwiched between the front portion and the front surface to provide a watertight seal at the front surface at least partially around the hole. The rear extension is sandwiched between the back portion and the back surface of the hole to provide a watertight seal at the back surface at least partially around the hole. The gasket can also be arranged to provide a seal between the spa component and the inside surface of the spa wall hole.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 31, 2006Publication date: November 16, 2006Inventors: Raymundo Colin, Francisco Hinojosa, Darrell Schmidt

Publication number: 20060230518Abstract: A pulsating hydrotherapy jet is disclosed which has a jet body with a water inlet to allow water to flow into the body. The jet body discharges the water through a discharge member in more than one concentric pattern. A cap mounted on the body to receive the circular water patterns is also disclosed. The cap has a number of openings that form more than one concentric opening ring. Each of the opening rings align with a respective one of the circular water patterns to provide the sensation of a number of circular patterns of multiple pulsating jets. A system for providing a hydrotherapy jet to a reservoir of water is also disclosed. The system includes a reservoir shell capable of holding water with a number of hydrotherapy jets according to the invention that are mounted around the reservoir shell. A water pump system circulates water from the reservoir to the jets.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 15, 2006Publication date: October 19, 2006Inventors: Michael Holtsnider, Raymundo Colin

Publication number: 20040156517Abstract: A spa speaker system is disclosed having a housing with a speaker mounted within it. The housing is movably mounted to a track with the housing extendible and retractable from the top of the track. A spring is arranged to urge the housing to extend from the top of the track. A latching mechanism is operable to hold the housing in its retracted position and is thereafter operable to release the housing. The housing extends from the track when the housing is released by the latching mechanism. A system for providing audio to a reservoir of water is also disclosed. The system comprises a reservoir shell capable of holding water and at least one speaker system according to the invention mounted to said reservoir shell above the water line. Each of the speaker systems is independently extendible form the shell.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 7, 2003Publication date: August 12, 2004Applicant: WATERWAY PLASTICS, INC.Inventors: Darrell Schmidt, Francisco Hinojosa, Michael D.
