  • Publication number: 20070050431
Abstract: A system to deploy content from one network to another includes an export search component. During an export process, a level-based scan of a content database is performed to efficiently find children and dependencies of the object(s) to be deployed. An export object table is created and filled with the children and dependencies found in the level-based scan. The export object table is ordered based on object type so that for each object being exported, its parent and its dependencies will be exported before the object itself is exported. The system may selectively perform incremental deployments in which only objects that have changed since their last deployment will be exported. Objects have identifiers and the system maintains a change log using the object identifiers, which allows the system to determine whether an object should be included in the incremental deployment.

  • Publication number: 20030130882
Abstract: In accordance with the present invention there is provided a method for serverless calendar sharing that allows free/busy time to be exchanged, viewed and new appointments scheduled between computing devices sharing a common calendar format without the use of a server and using a peer-to-peer network. An interval for the meeting/appointment is selected by an initiating device, and a request is sent out to participant devices in the peer-to-peer network for a set of free and busy time slots. A time slot for a meeting is considered free if it is correspondingly free in all participating responses, otherwise it is busy. The aggregate busy time is resolved using an efficient algorithm that is easily computed on low-compute-power devices such as handhelds.

  • Patent number: 5876131
Abstract: A printer for printing on a binder strip and having a platen for supporting the binder strip, a print head mechanism and a print head controller. An interface unit is provided which includes indicia formed on the housing of the unit indicative of the spine of a bound book. The indicia includes three regions that represent three zones of the spine, with the three regions each having as associated visual indicator and switch for enabling a user to select a spine zone. A user can enter text, using a keyboard, to be printed on spine zone when the visual indicator associated with the spine zone has been made active using the associated switch.

  • Patent number: 4439614
Abstract: 5,6-Methano-5,6-dihydroretinoids such as ethyl (E)-5,6-methano-5,6-dihydroretinoate and (E)-1-(4-carbethoxyphenyl)-2-methyl-4-(2,2,6-trimethylbicyclo[4.1.0]hept-1 -yl)-1,3-butadiene are disclosed. These componds are useful as chemopreventive agents for inhibiting tumor promotion in epithelial cells and for treating nonmalignant skin disorders.
