  • Publication number: 20240152986
Abstract: There is provided a method that includes receiving, from a client device, a search request for a set of listings, the search request including search parameters defining a search query. The method further includes generating a set of listings based on the search query and the search parameters and extracting price-indicative and non-price-indicative features. The method also includes computing a probability of booking and an estimate of quality, by inputting the price-indicative features and non-price-indicative features to trained machine learning models. The trained machine learning models predict (i) an affordability metric based on the price-indicative features and (ii) a quality metric based on the non-price-indicative features, separately. The affordability metric and the quality metric are representative of the probability of booking, and the quality metric is representative of the estimate of quality.

  • Publication number: 20210170985
Abstract: A self-tensioning and retracting pet safety belt device is disclosed herein. The device permits a dog or other pet to move freely within a vehicle while securing the pet in the event of a collision or other rapid change in acceleration. Dogs, especially, enjoy riding in a vehicle with their head sticking out a window, and the length of belt required to allow this activity while securing the dog to the vehicle is too long to prevent the dog from being thrown around in the event of a collision. A shorter belt, on the other hand, would increase the safety of the pet in a collision but would not allow the dog as much movement as it would desire. A self-tensioning and retracting pet safety belt device appropriately increases the pet's safety while also allowing it as much freedom of movement as desired.

  • Patent number: 8950824
Abstract: A retainer plate for preventing or at least mitigating loosening of an axle nut of a vehicle. The retainer plate comprises a generally flat section of rigid material that couples to an axle nut in a non-rotatable fashion and to a portion of the wheel to maintain the axle nut in tight threaded engagement with the axle. The retainer plate can have a central bore that non-rotatably engages the axle nut and a radially outward feature that engages the wheel to prevent the axle nut from loosening.

  • Patent number: 4609963
Abstract: An improved reinforcement member for a central aperture in a flexible recording disk and a method for forming the same. The improved reinforcement comprises an integral, annular-shaped ring formed on one or both sides of the flexible recording disk about the central aperture thereof. This improved reinforcement is formed by transfer printing a liquid image of the reinforcement member onto a side surface of the flexible recording disk and then subsequently solidifying that liquid image. The liquid image to be transfer printed onto the flexible recording disk is first established by filling a metering reservoir shaped to be an image of the reinforcement member with a solidifying liquid. A terminal end of compliant rubber tampon is then first contacted to the reservoir thereby picking up the liquid image which is then contacted to the surface of the flexible disk to be deposited there.
