  • Patent number: 5609061
Abstract: Bearing system for a turntable (10) with a stepping drive, in which a table plate (12) is rotatably mounted on ball bearings on top of a housing (14), having drive pins (36) disposed on the same diameter offset at uniform angular distances and protruding from the bottom of the table plate (12), the drive pins engage a cam groove (34) in a motor-driven roll (32) mounted on the housing, wherein the shape of the cam groove determines the characteristic of the rotary movement of the turntable (12); the table plate being circularly defined, has a diameter that is greater than the associated upper part of the housing (14) that forms the bearing area (40); the part of the table plate (12) reaching radially past the housing is thickened such that it reaches slightly downward over the bearing area (40) of the housing and the races of the rolling bearing for the table plate are formed in the bearing area of the outwardly facing wall of the housing (14).

  • Patent number: 4795021
Abstract: The turntable apparatus combining vertical with rotary motion has a table plate which can be rotated cyclically by a stepping drive. A lift carriage is nonrotatably mounted for upward and downward movement in the vertical direction. The lift carriage surrounds a rotatable cylinder rising vertically upward centrally from the turntable and provided with a cam groove which is engaged by a cam follower pin on the lift carriage. At a distance from and parallel to the cylinder there is rotatably mounted one or more threaded spindles whose nonself-locking thread is in threaded engagement each with a threaded bore in the lift carriage. At its bottom end at the table plate each threaded spindle is coupled by an angle drive with a rotatable threaded spindle running radially and parallel to the table plate surface, which in turn is in threaded engagement with a driver of a workpiece mounting carriage mounted in the radial direction on the table plate.

  • Patent number: 4669948
Abstract: A lifting and swiveling table mechanism having a swiveling table with a table plate rotated by a stepping drive. The lifting mechanism has a lift slide movably guided up and down in vertical direction and placed co-rotationally on the table plate, with which an indexing slide mounted non-rotatably on a rigid part of the swiveling table is in driving association in the lift direction. The indexing slide has at least one indexing pin projecting at right angles to the lift direction and engaging an indexing groove in the circumferential surface of a vertically disposed cylinder which can be driven in rotation.

  • Patent number: 4511110
Abstract: A drive for the scissors mechanism of a scissors lift table (10) which comprises a lift platform (12) supported on a base frame (14) by a scissors mechanism comprising at least two laterally adjacent pairs of scissors lift arms (18,20). The drive comprises at least one cylindrical roller (38) which is motor-driven in rotation and provided with an indexing groove (40) machined in its cylindrical surface. The indexing groove (40) is engaged by an indexing pin (42) which is attached to an elongate carriage (44) slidable parallel to the axis of rotation of the cylindrical roller (38). The carriage (44) carries a rack (46), which meshes with a toothed pinion (48), which is mounted on a shaft provided with further toothed pinions (56), which in turn mesh with toothed segments (58) provided on one (20) of the scissors arms (18,20) of each pair of the scissors mechanism.

  • Patent number: 4448093
Abstract: Stepping drive mechanism for converting a constant input rotatory movement to a linear movement of a given length accelerated first from zero, then continuing at constant velocity, and finally decelerated back to zero, in which the constant input rotatory movement introduced into the drive of the mechanism is transmitted to cylindrical driving cams having indexing grooves provided in their cylindrical circumferential surface, which are engaged by an indexing pin provided on a carrier component coupled with the drive of the mechanism. The indexing pin carrier component has the form of a circular disk mounted for rotation about its central axis, on each of whose opposite flat sides a driving cam is provided, one associated with the acceleration-deceleration phase and one with the constant-velocity linear movement phase. The cams each have an axis of rotation disposed at right angles to the central axis of the indexing pin carrier component, in whose indexing grooves an associated indexing pin engages.
