  • Patent number: 8801339
Abstract: A conveyor device is used for the pneumatic conveying of bulk material. The conveyor device has a main conveyor pipe and a plurality of bypass conveyor pipe sections which are separate from one another and arranged one behind the other within the latter. The main extent direction of the bypass conveyor pipe sections runs along the main conveyor pipe. The bypass conveyor pipe sections in each case have an inlet opening and an outlet opening for conveyor gas. The inlet opening, when the main conveyor pipe is horizontally installed, is arranged in a cross sectional portion of the main conveyor pipe, which is located above a cross sectional portion of the main conveyor pipe, in which the outlet opening is arranged. The result is a conveyor device, of which the efficiency, in other words the ratio of the conveying power and the conveyor gas quantity used, is improved.

  • Publication number: 20130277399
Abstract: A cellular wheel sluice has a housing, a feed shaft opening therein and an outlet shaft opening out therefrom. Arranged between the shafts is a cellular wheel. The latter is arranged so as to be rotatably drivable about a horizontal rotational axis in a cylindrical cellular wheel housing portion. A cellular wheel drive shaft non-rotatably connected to the cellular wheel is rotatably mounted in the housing. A pressure drop is applied during operation of the cellular wheel sluice, a higher pressure being present in the feed shaft than in the outlet shaft. The cellular wheel is operated during the product conveyance between the feed shaft and the outlet shaft at a rotational speed in such a way that an outer periphery of the cellular wheel reaches a speed that is greater than 0.6 m/s.

  • Patent number: 5894071
Abstract: Two-component adhesive-, sealing- or coating compositions are being described which are separately packed, and comprise the component A and the component D, whereby the component A is curing as soon as it gets in touch with water or the component D which contains the curing agent for the component A.The component D can be, or a component B containing an ingredient which is curing at the contact of water, or, possibly, at the contact with the component A, orthe component D can also be a mixture of solid matter and a volatile ingredient which is causing the cross-linking of the component A.The advantage of the novel two-component systems is that the component D is working as a curing agent for the component A, however, a surplus thereof is, or self-curing, or it does not leave a nuissance residue in the cured composition.

  • Patent number: 5791829
Abstract: Methods and devices for the conveyance of bulk materials by a compressible conveying medium and in the form of discrete plugs from bulk materials in pipes are known. A disadvantage is the high-energy and abrupt expansion of the volume of the conveying medium between the plug being discharged and the one following it at the end of the pipe. This disadvantage may be avoided in that the amount (2') of compressed conveying medium existing in each case between plugs (1') in sequence in the downstream end portion (12b) of the pipe as compared to the amount (2) of compressed conveying medium (2) existing between plugs (1) upstream (at 12a) of the end portion (12b) of the pipe is reduced. This is particularly achieved by converting the long plugs (1) into plugs of reduced length (1'), following each other in reduced spacing.

  • Patent number: 4909676
Abstract: An apparatus for pneumatically conveying bulk material includes a conveyor line for transporting the bulk material and a secondary line which carries clean gas and is sectionized by spaced three-way/two-way directional control valves. Each control valve is actuated by a pressure transmitter which compares the actual pressure in the conveyor line with the desired pressure in a third line carrying a fluid at a desired pressure decreasing in downstream direction in accordance with the pressure drop in the conveyor line during normal operation. A communication between the conveyor line and the second line is provided by respective branch lines which define the third connection of the control valves and are multiply connected to the conveyor line.

  • Patent number: 4859067
Abstract: A bulk material mixer includes a container accommodating a central tube provided with a plurality of lateral inlet openings at various levels. The inlet openings have a cross section which increases from bottom to top so that the inlet openings at the lowest level have a smallest cross section while the inlet openings at the uppermost level have a greatest cross section.
