  • Patent number: 9554557
Abstract: A system for marking a non-human biological object and removing a sample of the biological object includes a first tag part, a second tag part, a pin connected to the first tag part by its first end and provided with a head at its second end, a sample removing stopper which, while attaching the tag parts on the biological object and removing the sample therefrom, is positioned on the head of the pin. The stopper has a cutter at its front, which cutter delimits a sample receiving cavity. The second tag part is provided with a passage for the stopper and the head of the pin. The second tag part is provided in the region of the passage of the second tag part with a sample fixating spike member.

The system also has a sample container with an introduction opening for introducing into the sample container the stopper and the sample of the object that has been cut by the cutter, which sample container is attached to the second tag part via a releasable connection. The second tag part is provided in the region of the passage of the second tag part with a sample fixating spike member.

  • Patent number: 7335816
Abstract: The invention relates to glyphosate tolerant sugar beet plants, plant material and seeds. It is the object of the invention to provide a transgenic sugar beet plant event that shows a high level of tolerance against glyphosate, but is not impaired in other important agronomic properties such as growth, yield, quality, pathogen resistance etc.

  • Patent number: 5308351
Abstract: An ear tag having a first button with an aperture, and a pin having a head and a heel is attached to the first button via engagement of the heel in the aperture. A second button is provided having an aperture for engaging the head of the pin. At least one of the buttons has an additional frangible ring adjacent one of the apertures through which the pin is introduced and by which the pin engages the appropriate button. As force is applied to the buttons in opposite directions the additional ring breaks making the re-connection of the two buttons impossible.
