  • Publication number: 20080129174
Abstract: The invention relates to an incandescent lamp, in particular, a halogen incandescent lamp for the generation of light in a near-infra-red wavelength range (NIR-wavelength range), comprising a transparent lamp housing, an illuminant enclosed by the lamp housing and an interference filter arranged on the lamp housing, comprising several layer stacks (30, 32, 34) with a number of optically low-refraction and high-refraction layers, whereby a first layer stack (30) of the interference filter (28) is embodied as an absorption filter for the absorption of unwanted light spectra, comprising at least two absorption layers and an optical low-refraction intermediate layer, arranged between the absorption layers. According to the invention, the absorption filter (30) has a low transmission of light in an essentially red spectral range and the interference filter (28) has a filter edge in the NTR wavelength range as a result of the further layer stack (32, 34).

  • Publication number: 20080036351
Abstract: The invention relates to an incandescent lamp for producing light in a red region of the spectrum, comprising: a translucent lamp bulb (4); a spiral-wound filament enclosed by the lamp bulb, and; an interference filter (8), which is placed on the lamp bulb and which has a number of optically low refractive layers and optically highly refractive layers. According to the invention, the lamp bulb itself forms an absorption filter that absorbs unwanted light spectra. The color location shift into the red region of the spectrum ensues via the interference filter.

  • Patent number: 4512939
Abstract: Method for the manufacture of oxidic sintered nuclear fuel bodies by compacting UO.sub.2 -starting powder or a mixture of UO.sub.2 -and PuO.sub.2 starting powder which contains up to 10% by weight rare-earth oxide, especially Gd.sub.2 O.sub.3, as an additive into blanks and subsequent densification of these blanks by a heat treatment in a sintering atomsphere with reducing action. The UO.sub.2 -starting powder used for compacting has a specific surface in the range of 2 to 4.5 m.sup.2 /g and/or a mean crystallite diameter in the range of 80 nm to 250 nm, and the heat treatment in the sintering atmosphere with reducing action is carried out at a temperature in the range of 1,500.degree. C. to 1,750.degree. C.

  • Patent number: 4011037
Abstract: A boat for carrying a load of stacked layers of interspaced pellets through a high-temperature continuous furnace, has a base for carrying the load through the furnace and having upstanding posts, each of the layers being carried by a sheet having holes through which the posts are inserted to prevent lateral shifting of the sheets.
