A plurality of retaining boxes is provided, each retaining box detachably connected by at least one screw in a respective trapezoidally-shaped positive radial recess in a wall of the spiral conveyor, each retaining box having a bore hole therein for receiving a respective one of the rotary cutters. The retaining boxes each have a trapezoidally-shaped shaft part for being matingly received in the trapezoidal recess with the narrow side of the trapezoidally-shaped shaft facing towards the spiral conveyor.

The cover, the conveyor device receiving the cut material and the material-collecting flap are each fastened pivotably to the undercarriage, so that the cutting device is easily accessible in order to exchange the cutters.

    Abstract: A milling roller mounting support on milling machines for milling road surfaces has a frame vertically adjustable and at right angles relative to the direction of movement provided on the chassis. The milling roller is rotatably supported at its ends in the frame and is driven on one, or both, respectively, sides by means of a motor each. The frame is provided between at least two parallel guide faces arranged one after the other in the direction of movement and is secured to the chassis by two mounting supports, which are vertically adjustable. A lateral shift of the frame is avoided by a nose arranged at right angles relative to the axis of the milling roller, which nose is guided in a vertical groove provided in the chassis.

    Abstract: A Machine for cutting away road surfaces has a chassis which is preferably self-propelled and which has an intermediate portion situated above the road surface which is to be worked. The cutter roller is driven from a gear which is also carried by the frame and which is connected to a drive by way of a Cardanic-type shaft. The frame is suspended from the chassis by only two supports which at their lower ends are connected to the frame in a plane which includes a substantially central longitudinal axis of the chassis to support the frame for free tilting movement about an axis in this plane which extends in the general direction of travel of the chassis, so that by way of this two-point suspension the frame together with the cutting roller can tilt laterally.
