  • Publication number: 20210245846
Abstract: An offshore transfer system for transferring persons and/or cargo between a transfer vessel and an offshore object, includes the transfer vessel having a docking position with a mooring element. The offshore object includes a docking arm, in particular a gangway, that at a free end is provided with a coupling device. The docking position on the transfer vessel has its mooring element at least partly compensated for transfer vessel motions, at least during a docking operation, and includes one or more force actuators for moving the mooring element relative to the transfer vessel, one or more sensors for detecting motions of the transfer vessel, and a control unit for driving the one or more force actuators such that the motions of the transfer vessel get at least partly compensated for the mooring element.

  • Patent number: 11046395
Abstract: A vessel (1) with a transfer installation for cargo and persons towards an offshore construction (12) comprises means for stabilizing its position at sea relative to the offshore construction (12), a telescopically extendable beam assembly (2) that comprises telescopable beam elements (2a, 2b), which beam assembly (2) with its one outer end (15) is rotatably connected to the vessel (1) by means of an axle system (7a, 8a, 9a), and a driving device designed to bring the other outer end (16) of the telescopically extendable beam assembly (2) in contact with a landing provision (13) of the offshore construction (12). The telescopically extendable beam assembly (2) is provided with means for moving a transportation carriage (14) back and forth between both outer ends (15, 16) along the telescopically extendable beam assembly (2), wherein the transportation carriage (14) is provided with a support (20) for carrying the cargo and persons.

  • Patent number: 9187155
Abstract: A vessel with bridging means includes an upright column, a gangway, a first hinge connection for hingedly connecting the gangway to the column, coupling means at or near a free end of the gangway for coupling the gangway to an offshore construction, and one or more gangway support organs. The column is supported by and connected to the vessel by means of a second hinge connection designed to allow the vessel to rotate relative to the column in a first rotation direction around an x-axis and in a second rotation direction around an y-axis, wherein the x- and y-axes extend substantially horizontal and orthogonal relative to each other. Positioning means are provided which comprise force actuators between the vessel and the column for swiveling the column around the second hinge connection relative to the vessel around said x- and y-axis.

  • Publication number: 20130025522
Abstract: A method for use with maintenance of an offshore wind farm includes a plurality of offshore wind turbines installed in open sea, where the method uses an assembly of a plurality of shuttle vessels 8, 9 and a seaworthy harbour ship 1 which includes an internal harbour basin 4 within outlines of the ship 1 and a plurality of mooring positions 7 for mooring the plurality of shuttle vessels 8, 9 to the ship 1 when lying inside the basin 4, where the method further includes comprises sailing the assembly of the plurality of shuttle vessels 8, 9 and the harbour ship 1 towards an anchoring position near or in the wind farm and anchoring the harbour ship 1 there, and sailing the plurality of shuttle vessels 8, 9 back and forth between the mooring positions 7 of the anchored harbour ship 1 and distinctive ones of the wind turbines for performing the maintenance thereto.

  • Patent number: 6955134
Abstract: A vessel provided with a telescopingly extendable gang plank mounted thereon for movement about a vertical axis. A coupling device provided at the free end of the gang plank is adapted to enclose a vertically directed engagement rod on an offshore pole body and thus connect the ship to the pole body. With tile ship manoeuvred in a certain position the gang plank may be either directed and extended towards tile engagement rod or be manoeuvred while taking its extended position laterally into contact with the engagement rod and subsequently (partially) retracted again.
