  • Publication number: 20230168079
Abstract: A method for obtaining the profile of the outer surface (22) of a medium (21) having a median plane (23) comprising the following steps: obtaining two time signals A and B (1002), for, at each instant, a same geometrical target on a readout line of the outer surface (22); determining at least one Doppler frequency (2001) associated with each time signal A and B; sampling each time signal A and B (2002) at a frequency greater than 2 times the Doppler frequency to obtain a payload signal; determining an envelope (2004) of the payload signal of each signal A and B; performing a relative combination between the envelopes of each signal A and B (3001) to obtain a monotonic and bijective function F; and determining the profile of the outer surface (3002) using a calibration of the function F.

  • Patent number: 11498570
Abstract: A method for determining a road condition is carried out aboard a vehicle driving on the road and comprises the following steps: capturing the noise created by the friction between at least one tire and the road; analyzing the noise signal in the high frequency range to determine whether the road condition is dry or not; and, in case the road condition is not dry, analyzing the noise signal in the low frequency range to determine whether to road condition is wet or damp.

  • Publication number: 20220274568
Abstract: A method for estimating a water height on a roadway where a tire of a vehicle is running, the mounted assembly being placed in a wheel arch of the vehicle, comprises the following steps: fixing a sensor onto the vehicle; obtaining a frequency signal from the sensor corresponding to the running of the vehicle at speed V on the roadway covered with a water height heau; isolating a part of the frequency signal, bounded by two strictly increasing frequencies, which is sensitive to the height heau; determining an energy vector linked to the part of the frequency signal; and obtaining the water height on the roadway using a function taking account of the energy vector and the speed V of the vehicle. The sensor is a microphone, and the part of the frequency signal extends at least partly beyond 4 kHz.

  • Patent number: 6988226
Abstract: A computer system and method for operating a computer system is provided which comprises a core operating system and a system space having a number of memory locations. The core operating system is arranged to create a number of protection domains to partition the system space into a core operating system space and a plurality of partitions. A partition operating system, a partition user application, and a partition alarm handler is provided in each partition. Each partition operating system provides resource allocation services to the respective partition user application within the partition. An alarm dispatcher and a system alarm handler is provided in the core operating system space. The alarm dispatcher is configured to receive alarms and to dispatch the alarms to one of the alarm handlers.

  • Publication number: 20030009711
Abstract: An alarm management system is provided which includes a hierarchical database of alarm source identifiers. Each alarm source identifier is associated with a corresponding software entity capable of generating an alarm. The system further includes a corresponding alarm controller for each software entity and an alarm processor. The alarm processor receives an alarm from one of the software entities, accesses the hierarchical database to identify a parent software entity of the one of the software entities, invokes a corresponding alarm controller for the one of the software entities and invokes a corresponding alarm controller for a corresponding alarm controller for the parent software entity.
