  • Patent number: 10451206
Abstract: A connection end-piece of a flexible pipe includes an end vault extending along a central axis; an outer cover fixed to the end vault and defining, with the end vault, a reception chamber for receiving an end section of the armor elements of the flexible pipe; at least one annular member applied externally to the armor elements of the flexible pipe, the annular member being at least partially accommodated in the reception chamber between the armor elements and the outer cover. The annular member applies a radial tightening pressure higher than 100 bars onto the armor elements toward the central axis of the flexible pipe.

Abstract: An end-piece having: an end vault extending along a central axis; an outer cover fixed to the end vault and defining, with the end vault, a reception chamber for receiving an end section of the armour elements; at least one annular member applied externally to the armour elements of an armour layer, the annular member being al least partially accommodated in the reception chamber between the armour elements and the outer cover. The annular member applies a radial tightening pressure higher than 100 bars towards the central axis onto the armour elements.

  • Publication number: 20130302094
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a device for tensioning and gripping a tubular elongated element (3), designed to be placed on a bottom of an expanse of water from a surface placement installation, characterized in that it includes six tracks (11) uniformly distributed around a circumference and forming a space between them for the passage of the elongated element, each track being rotated by motor means (17, 18) integrated into said track (11) and being supported by a reinforcing chassis that can be moved between a passive retracted position of the track (11) and an active position pressing said track (11) against the elongated element.

  • Patent number: 7395771
Abstract: A transferring sea buoy is moored to the sea floor via an anchoring line. The anchoring line comprises a chain and an anchoring device for fastening the chain and the buoy. The anchoring device comprises a deformable longitudinal element having a first end connected to the transferring sea buoy and a second end connected to the chain. The deformable longitudinal element is deformable when the transferring sea buoy moves. The member has at least first and second portion of thin rectangular cross-section, each deformable in one plane to absorb relative motion between the buoy and the chain.

  • Patent number: 6283160
Abstract: A lagged flexible tubular pipe for conveying fluids, produced by helically winding at least one strip made of thermal insulation around a flexible central core at a uniform pitch and with a gap. Jointly winding gap-free an intermediate extruded section into the gap between the turns of strip and sealing the gap. The intermediate section is made of a material which volume wise is nearly incompressible.

  • Patent number: 6123114
Abstract: It is of the unbonded type and comprises, from the inside outwards, an internal leakproof assembly comprising a pressure vault, a first inner group of tensile armor (5), a second outer group of tensile armor (7) and an external sealing sheath (8), the tensile armor of the said inner and outer groups being wound at a lay angle of less than 55.degree., characterized in that an intermediate sealing sheath (6) is inserted between the two inner (5) and outer (7), groups of tensile armor, the inner group of tensile armor (5) being wound with a short pitch and at a lay angle of greater than 35.degree. and less than 55.degree., and the outer group of tensile armor (7) being wound with a long pitch and with a lay angle of less than 30.degree..

  • Patent number: 6053213
Abstract: It is of the type comprising a corrugated and sealed internal metal tube (1), a pressure vault (2) wound at a short pitch and having an internal surface which faces the corrugations of the corrugated internal tube, an intermediate sheath, at least two groups of inner and outer armoring layers (3, 5), the armoring layers being wound at a lay angle of less than 55.degree., and an outer-sheath (6), and it is characterized in that the intermediate sheath (4) is sealed and is arranged between the two groups of armoring layers (3, 5), the said inner group of armoring layers (3) bearing directly on the pressure vault (2).
