  • Patent number: 11950214
Abstract: A client device for wireless communication includes a transceiver and a processor. The transceiver is configured to receive frequency resource information to indicate a set of frequency resources for a physical random access channel (PRACH) preamble transmission. The frequency resource information includes at least one of: an interlace information indicating at least one of an interlace of a block-interlaced frequency-division multiplexing (B-IFDM) allocation, a resource element allocation information indicating a subset of resource elements within each block of the at least one B-IFDM interlace, and a resource element spacing information, such that an at least one resource element within at least one block of the at least one B-IFDM interlace is allocated for the transmission of one PRACH preamble according to a tone-interlaced frequency-division multiplexing (T-IFDM) allocation. The resource element allocation is repeated in each block of the at least one B-IFDM interlace.

  • Publication number: 20220303075
Abstract: A wireless transmitter, receiver and a method of wireless communication, the method including obtaining prime factors for a number NRE of time-frequency resources, including at least two different prime factors, generating a codebook comprising at least one codeword, each of the at least one codeword being generated by multiplying at least one mask sequence with one vector of an orthogonal set of vectors, and each mask sequence of the at least one mask sequence being obtained from an exponentiation operation involving a base and an exponent, the base being defined by the at least two different prime factors, and the exponent being defined by a quadratic polynomial having a number of m variables, where m is equal to a total number of the prime factors constituting NRE, and providing, to a receiver, information bits in at least one of the at least one codeword over the NRE time-frequency resources.

  • Patent number: 11336353
Abstract: Devices, methods and computer programs for wireless communications with rotational beam management are disclosed. Information from past beam tracking stages can be used for a next beam tracking stage, since a next beam codebook to be used for beam scanning depends on an earlier beam codebook.

  • Patent number: 11310837
Abstract: A network access node and a client device for generating and using cubic phase polynomial sequences (si, sj) of length L with a third order coefficient value a3 belonging to the subset of sequences () are described. The network access node transmits a control message to the client device, wherein the control message indicates the cyclical shift value NCS and the third order coefficient value a3. The client device receives the control message and determines a cubic polynomial phase sequence (si) belonging to the subset of sequences () based on the cyclical shift value NCS and the third order coefficient value a3. The client device thereafter transmits the determined cubic polynomial phase sequence (si) as a random access preamble to the network access node.

  • Publication number: 20210136767
Abstract: A client device for wireless communication has a transceiver, and a processor. The transceiver receives frequency resource information to indicate a set of frequency resources for a PRACH preamble transmission. The frequency resource information indicates each frequency resource having: interlace information of B-IFDM allocation, resource element allocation information indicating a subset of resource elements within each block of the B-IFDM interlace, and resource element spacing information, such that a resource element within a block of the B-IFDM interlace is allocated for the transmission of one PRACH preamble according to a T-IFDM allocation. The resource element allocation is repeated in each block of the B-IFDM interlace. The processor is configured to select a frequency resource based on the received frequency resource information, and generate a PRACH preamble to be transmitted on the selected frequency resource.

  • Publication number: 20210076425
Abstract: A network access node and a client device for generating and using cubic phase polynomial sequences (si, sj) of length L with a third order coefficient value a3 belonging to the subset of sequences (Sk) are described. The network access node transmits a control message to the client device, wherein the control message indicates the cyclical shift value NCS and the third order coefficient value a3. The client device receives the control message and determines a cubic polynomial phase sequence (si) belonging to the subset of sequences (Sk) based on the cyclical shift value NCS and the third order coefficient value a3. The client device thereafter transmits the determined cubic polynomial phase sequence (si) as a random access preamble to the network access node.
