  • Patent number: 6841614
Abstract: The invention relates to a method of producing soluble polymer granules which are suitable for use in washing and/or cleaning surfactants. According to said method, an aqueous preparation of the polymer which contains at least 30% by weight polymer, optionally in admixture with other washing and/or cleaning surfactant ingredients, is granulated and at the same time dried batchwise or continuously, preferably continuously, in a circular fluidized bed. In said fluidized bed, an eddy flow about the vertical axis of the apparatus is produced above the ground of the fluidized bed by means of an air inlet. The invention also relates to soluble, spherical polymer granules with a polymer content of 50 to 95% by weight and to washing or cleaning surfactants containing the inventive granules.

  • Patent number: 6528474
Abstract: The invention relates to a process for the production of substantially alumosilicate-free detergents containing a soluble builder system which provides free-flowing and storage-stable granules. In this process for the production of a particulate, substantially alumosilicate-free detergent, an anionic surfactant acid is sprayed onto a detergent component containing anionic surfactant and builders in order to increase the anionic surfactant content.

  • Patent number: 6458755
Abstract: A spray-dried amorphous alkali metal silicate compound which provides multiple-cycle washing performance. The silicate compound has a molar ratio of M2O to SiO2 of 1:1.5 to 1:3.3 wherein M represents an alkali metal. The compound contains 0.5 to less than 30% by weight of anionic surfactant and has an absorption capacity for liquid components which is at least 20% higher than that of the same quantity of the alkali metal silicate compound which is free from anionic surfactant.

  • Patent number: 6340662
Abstract: The problem addressed by the invention was to provide a foam regulator system containing silicone and/or paraffin and bis-fatty acid amide which would have a low viscosity, which could be handled at low temperatures and which would have a low percentage content of non-foam-regulating ingredients. This problem was largely solved by an aqueous foam regulator emulsion containing 16% by weight to 70% by weight of active foam regulator based on paraffin wax and/or silicone oil, 2% by weight to 15% by weight of nonionic and/or anionic emulsifier and no more than 80% by weight of water. The foam regulator emulsion is preferably used for the production of partiulate foam regulator granules for use in detergents.
