    Abstract: The invention relates to an improvement in boat sails, which consists in providing one of the faces of the sail, and over at least part of the length of its leech, with a flat reinforcement which is thick with respect to the sail, and which is made from an elastically deformable material, the reinforcement being substantially constant and extending from the leech and in parallel thereto. The invention finds an application with sails mounted on a winding boom.
