Abstract: A computer implemented method, apparatus, and computer usable program code for managing messages for an instant messaging conversation. A determination is made as to whether the selected party should receive the messages already exchanged in the instant messaging conversation in response to a user input during the instant messaging conversation with respect to a selected party. The messages are sent to the selected party in response to a determination that the selected party should receive the plurality of messages.

Abstract: Automatically creating a current project in an application developer workspace is provided. In response to reading a project file for the current project, it is automatically determined whether the current project has one or more dependent projects based on data contained within the project file. In response to determining that the current project does have one or more dependent projects, a build file is automatically generated for each of the one or more dependent projects. The build file calls importing targets within each of the one or more dependent projects. Then, the current project and the one or more dependent projects are automatically imported into the application developer workspace to form a created current project. The created current project is created without launching an application developer application. In addition, the created current project is stored in a source code control repository.

Abstract: A method, programmed medium and system are provided for recovering media-stored program code and/or user data when data on the same media are lost or corrupted. The system includes retrieving user data and/or program code from an external source when the actual data/code is not readable. When initiating the load of local storage, an initial scan for damaged regions is performed. If the initial scan determines that there are damaged/bad regions, the media player will look for the necessary data and/or code to patch the digital media. In one embodiment, a hardware or software look-ahead reader function, for example, is enabled to retrieve the original undamaged data/code from the local storage when an attempt to read a region from an optical disk fails due to a bad region. If the region in question is not stored locally, then a request is automatically transmitted to the original data provider to re-send the original data/code, which may include original program code.

A family of resources is defined as a group of resources that may make use of the same password. When a user sets a new password for a family of resources, all of the passwords for each of the resources in the family are reset to this new password. That is, the multi-threaded password management apparatus and method spawns threads to reset the passwords of the other resources in the family. In this way, a single operation of resetting a password for a resource in the family may cause a plurality of passwords to be reset. Moreover, the passwords need only be reset when the earliest reset time of the resources in the family occurs. Thus, the number of passwords that must be memorized by a user is significantly reduced. Furthermore, the number of times that passwords need be reset is also reduced due to the resetting of passwords on a group level.

Abstract: A shopping cart is provided that is designed for the purchaser/user at the receiving Web station and is associated with the receiving display station in place of the prior art shopping cart systems that are associated with and designed for particular Web pages. The user may move his personal shopping cart from one Web page to another without checking out as he leaves the particular Web pages. The user may carry his load of products with his shopping cart as he moves the cart from Web page to Web page. An implementation at said receiving display station enables a user to load into said shopping cart a plurality of representations of products offered from said plurality of Web sites. The user at the receiving display station is enabled to select to buy a set of the loaded products and there is an implementation for transmitting to each of a plurality of Web sites offering the products selected to buy by said user, billing data required of said user to buy said products.
