    Abstract: In a structural reinforcement system of the present invention, a reinforcing material of a bundled fibrous material is positioned spanning a joint between structural members, and then opposite end sections of the reinforcing material are inserted into apertures formed in each of the structural members and fixed in place by anchoring with an adhesive. An angle formed between a center line of each aperture and a line connecting openings of the apertures should preferably ranges between 135° to 160°. The reinforcing material is preferably a bundle of fibers selected from the group consisting of aramid fiber, nylon fiber, carbon fiber, glass fiber, and steel fiber, and the bundle of fibers is impregnated with a resin.
