  • Patent number: 5683728
Abstract: A mold conveying arrangement includes a mold having at least one well for receiving chocolate to be conveyed through molding workstations. The mold extends along a longitudinal direction between opposite end regions, and also extends along a transverse direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction. The mold has projections generally extending in a downward direction perpendicular to the longitudinal and transverse directions. A movable conveyor extends along the transverse direction below the mold. The conveyor engages the projections and moves the mold along the transverse direction.

  • Patent number: 5569472
Abstract: Continuously-operating chilling cabinet for treating a mass contained in molds, for example a chocolate mass or the like, such that after the entrance of the chilling cabinet is a device for lifting the molds as they are fed in and stacked and, in an adjacent position, before the exit from the chilling cabinet is a device for lowering the stacked molds. Above the lifting and the lowering device is a mechanism for holding and releasing the lowest mold of the corresponding stack. Above the stacks, the chilling cabinet houses a horizontal carrier that conveys the molds contained in the top row of the ascending column towards the top of the column made up of descending molds.

  • Patent number: 5534283
Abstract: Method of pouring a liquid mass of chocolate into an elongated mold by depositing greater quantities of the mass at both shorter end regions of the mold, and by depositing a lesser quantity of the mass at a longer central region of the mold.

  • Patent number: 4588599
Abstract: A forming machine for chocolate has a distributor bottom plate formed with a discharge manifold channel into which there open, through interconnecting grooves, the blind holes aligned with overlying delivery holes in the forming machine. The discharge manifold channel is connected to an excess chocolate recovery portion selectively conducting to either an intermediate storage or feeding hopper of the forming machine. In the course of the casting process implemented thereby, all of the pistons, irrespective of their being reciprocating or rotary ones, are fed at all times independently of the molds being used. In moving from one mould to another, only the distributor bottom plate is replaced and no pistons need be manipulated.

  • Patent number: 4538978
Abstract: A forming machine for chocolate and the like which comprises, located directly downstream of the hopper, a metering device having a contoured mixing and metering cavity which accommodates a rotatively driven rotor provided with disk-like spaced-apart collars and with rotary pistons respectively in the form of bridges interconnecting said disk-like collars axially. On the interior of said mixing and metering cavity, said rotor defines, accordingly, movable metering chambers in the shape of annular segments at one side, in each whereof there is respectively reciprocable a detent segment of a respective oscillating delivery disk valve and formed on a common shaft element, and a mixing chamber at the other side. Provided in said valves is a throughgoing passage which opens below the forming machine lower plane, and a depression for the unhindered passage of the respective rotary piston.

  • Patent number: 4135619
Abstract: An apparatus for the collecting and transferring confectionery products onto a receiving conveyor feeding a wrapping machine, in which above a feeding conveyor belt carrying the dies provided with the products there is arranged a transfer conveyor equipped with prehensile elements for removing the products from the dies, this conveyor cooperating with a further transfer conveyor also fitted with prehensile elements for taking up the confectionery products from the first transfer conveyor and depositing them as required on the receiving conveyor.

  • Patent number: 4135872
Abstract: In combination with a conveyor having spaced apart chain sections, at least one transversely aligned pair of support elements projecting toward each other from the respective chain section, a clamping member slideably engaged on each support element for reciprocal movement axially thereof and with the chain-remote portions of said clamping members being spaced from each other, resilient elements urging said clamping members toward each other, and a pouring die for removable disposition between said clamping members substantially intermediate said chain sections; the pouring die having integral cooperating components for detachable coupling engagement with said clamping members.
