  • Patent number: 8881493
Abstract: Disclosed is a force-applying element including a tensioning anchor for anchoring a tape-shaped material to a support structure. The tape-shaped material is pretensioned by means of the tensioning anchor. An extension element is disposed in the transition area between the tensioning anchor and the tape-shaped material following the tensioning process. The extension element is effectively connected to the tape-shaped material and the tensioning anchor.
    Type: Grant

Date of Patent: November 11, 2014
    Assignee: Sika Technology AG
    Inventors: Christoph Ruegg, Reto Clenin
  • Patent number: 8256174
Abstract: The invention relates to a tower construction with an annular cross section, comprising one or more component tubes arranged concentrically one on top of the other, wherein at least one component tube is composed of at least 3 tube segments, the tube segments of at least one component tube are pretensioned relative to one another by means of tensioning devices, hereinafter referred to as segment tensioning devices, and the component tubes have tensioning devices, hereinafter referred to as component tube tensioning devices, which act at least in the axial direction and extend over at least one horizontal joint, the tube segments and the component tubes composed therefrom form, at their butting edges, joints having gaps, the gaps of the joints are filled at least partially with a joint-filling material, and the joints between the tube segments of the same component tube allow a certain, substantially constraint-free rotation of the adjoining tube segments about the joint axis.

  • Publication number: 20050155303
Abstract: The invention relates to a reinforcing device for supporting structures, that comprises a lamellar structure that runs into an anchoring device. Said lamellar structure is composed of a plurality of separate or separable individual layers between which intermediate layers are disposed at least in the zone of the anchoring device. The invention also relates to a method for producing such a reinforcing device and to a method for the reconstruction and/or reinforcement of edifices on the basis of such a reinforcing device. Preferably the lamellar structure is provided with carbon-fiber reinforced plastic lamellae (CFK) as the individual layers which are imbedded in a thermoplastic matrix. Preferably the individual layers of the lamellar structure are based on a thermoplastic conventional plastic material and additionally have interposed fabric inserts of metal plates as the intermediate layers, most preferably a bidirectionally oriented fabric, especially a bidirectionally oriented aramide fiber fabric.
