Patent number: 9916070Abstract: The present invention pertains to geographical image processing of time-dependent imagery. Various assets acquired at different times are stored and processing according to acquisition date in order to generate one or more image tiles for a geographical region of interest. The different image tiles are sorted based on asset acquisition date. Multiple image tiles for the same region of interest may be available. In response to a user request for imagery as of a certain date, one or more image tiles associated with assets from prior to that date are used to generate a time-based geographical image for the user.Type: GrantFiled: September 30, 2014Date of Patent: March 13, 2018Assignee: Google LLCInventors: Reuel William Nash, Christopher S. Co, Andrew Kirmse

Patent number: 8824794Abstract: The embodiments described below include systems, methods, and computer storage mediums for blending image assets based on changes in a zoom level. An exemplary method includes determining an image asset from a collection of image assets, wherein the image asset is determined as a function of the zoom level. When the zoom level meets a threshold zoom level, a color corrected image asset is determined from the collection of image assets. The color corrected image asset is determined as a function of the zoom level and a color correction profile. The image asset and the color corrected image asset are blended, where the blending includes applying a first coefficient value to the image asset and a second coefficient to the color corrected image asset. Each of the first and second coefficient values may be determined as a function of the difference between the zoom level and the threshold zoom level.Type: GrantFiled: January 23, 2013Date of Patent: September 2, 2014Assignee: Google Inc.Inventor: Reuel William Nash

Publication number: 20140088861Abstract: Systems and methods for generating a historical tour are disclosed. The historical tour may comprise historical images and information for selected geographic locations. In some aspects, the historical tour may sequentially move a view of a virtual map to each of the selected geographic locations along a path. At each geographic location, the historical tour may present the user with at least one historical image and information for the location.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 26, 2011Publication date: March 27, 2014Applicant: GOOGLE INC.Inventor: Reuel William NASH

Patent number: 8489377Abstract: A method of verifying a performance model of an integrated circuit is provided. The method comprises the following steps: obtaining statistical request numbers and corresponding latency values of memory access requests; developing functions of latency value based on the statistical request numbers and the corresponding latency values; bringing a random value to one of the functions to retrieve a latency value; and verifying the logic of the performance model using the latency value retrieved in the step above.Type: GrantFiled: December 15, 2009Date of Patent: July 16, 2013Assignee: Nvidia CorporationInventors: Reuel William Nash, Yu Bai, Xiaowei Li
