Patent number: 9850062Abstract: Packaging with a double collar lid may be used for any type of consumer product, including electronic devices. The packaging includes a base, a tray disposed within the base, and a lid comprising an outer portion and a first inner collar. The tray is configured to support an electronic device to be raised relative to a bottom of the base with an available area for the electronic device disposed above a top of the base. The first inner collar is configured to constrain the position of the electronic device within the available area such that when the lid is removed from the base the electronic device is framed by the tray.Type: GrantFiled: February 8, 2016Date of Patent: December 26, 2017Assignee: Apple Inc.Inventor: Ricardo Alba Mariano

Publication number: 20160140557Abstract: A payment website coordinates payment transactions related to purchases by account holders from merchants. Merchants may open transactions and request authorization from the account holders' account issuers. Upon receipt of a favorable authorization response in a particular transaction, the website may permit the merchant to append an invoice to the transaction on the website for validation by the account issuer. The account issuer may confirm that the invoice meets requirements for an applicable financing program. After validation of the invoice, the payment website may contact the account holder to obtain authentication by the account holder of the invoice and the transaction.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 1, 2015Publication date: May 19, 2016Inventors: Eduardo Puggina Hansel, Ricardo Alba Alves Vianna

Patent number: 8640277Abstract: A body scrubber includes a housing having two opposing sides, a top, a bottom and an open front face. Positioned within the open front face are a plurality of tiered, motorized cleansing rollers each formed of a hollow, perforated tube encapsulated by an absorbent cleansing sleeve. Either soap or water can be delivered to the interior of each tube using a control panel. A bather first delivers soap to the rollers and places a desired portion of the body against the motorized cleansing sleeves; when the soap has been thoroughly applied, the bather delivers water to rinse the applied soap. Accordingly, a bather may easily cleanse certain bodily areas that would otherwise be inaccessible with conventional cleaning implements.Type: GrantFiled: April 9, 2010Date of Patent: February 4, 2014Inventor: Ricardo Alba

Patent number: 7460376Abstract: A cubical computer housing assembly comprises first and second ends and four sides, which define an interior compartment for housing the various computer components. The first and second ends are rigidly connected to one another and are slidingly detachable from four sides of the assembly. The interior compartment comprises three parallelepiped portions, one for accommodating a plurality of circuit boards, one for accommodating a heat sink and hard disk drive, and one for accommodating other memory device such as a CD ROM or DVD player. A hard disk drive is slidingly mounted in a frame which is rigidly mounted relative to the first and second ends. A hinged door on which is mounted a printed circuit board can be moved to an open position to provide access to the disk drive for removal and replacement of same.Type: GrantFiled: May 5, 2006Date of Patent: December 2, 2008Assignee: Apple Inc.Inventors: Wayne H. Miller, Ricardo Alba Mariano, Steven Thomas Holmes

Patent number: 6967832Abstract: A novel door for an access opening in an electronic component housing includes a bracket pivotally connected to the housing, and a cover elastically mounted to the bracket. In a particular embodiment, the bracket includes a wing spring for biasing the cover to the bracket, and the cover includes a channel for receiving the wing spring. Optionally, the cover and the bracket include an alignment feature and a complementary alignment feature, respectively, that moveably engage one another to facilitate relative movement between the cover and the bracket. The door is pivotally connected to the housing by a pair of L-shaped hinge members to rotate about an axis adjacent the opening in the housing. The bracket and the cover mount together to form the door assembly, and the assembly includes a smooth rear surface for slidably abutting devices (e.g., optical disk trays, etc.) moving through the opening.Type: GrantFiled: November 19, 2004Date of Patent: November 22, 2005Assignee: Apple Computer, Inc.Inventor: Ricardo Alba Mariano
