  • Publication number: 20220147881
Abstract: A virtual testing platform for a cruise ship is described. An example platform obtains information indicative of passengers of a sailing of a cruise ship, the information indicating assignment of the passengers to respective cabins of the cruise ship. A first subset of the passengers who represent virtual passengers and a second subset of the passengers who represent real-world passengers are determined, with the virtual passengers being indicated as not having arrived to board the cruise ship, such that the virtual passengers are not counted as being embarked on the cruise ship. Requests for activities received from applications are responded to, with the responses indicating whether the bookings were successful, and with each request being determined as being associated with a virtual passenger or a real-world passenger. The successful bookings associated with virtual passengers are triggered for cancellation.

  • Patent number: 11302018
Abstract: A virtual or augmented reality display system that controls a display using control information included with the virtual or augmented reality imagery that is intended to be shown on the display. The control information can be used to specify one of multiple possible display depth planes. The control information can also specify pixel shifts within a given depth plane or between depth planes. The system can also enhance head pose measurements from a sensor by using gain factors which vary based upon the user's head pose position within a physiological range of movement.

  • Publication number: 20210405665
Abstract: In a substrate processing system, such as a chemical mechanical system, updated controller configuration data is obtained for a plurality of liquid flow controllers of the substrate processing system. Each of a plurality of liquid flow controllers (LFCs) coupled to an Ethernet for Control Automation Technology (EtherCAT) bus automatically downloads a copy of the updated controller configuration data through the EtherCAT bus. Each of the plurality of liquid flow controllers controls fluid flow of a separate fluid line from a plurality of fluid lines in the substrate processing system, fluid flow through the plurality of fluid lines is controlled using the plurality of liquid flow controllers having the updated controller configuration data.

The image input device can include a light source and a spatial light modulator. The system can also include a controller that determines that no virtual content is being displayed to the user and compares the ambient light to display light to determine if a light source shutoff criterion is satisfied. The light source shutoff criterion can be indicative of whether shutting off the light source that illuminates the spatial light modulator will result in a change in the display light that will be user-perceptible. If the light source shutoff criterion is satisfied, the controller can turn off the light source.
