  • Publication number: 20240040176
Abstract: Disclosed herein are system, apparatus, article of manufacture, method and/or computer program product embodiments, and/or combinations and sub-combinations thereof, for classifying media accounts of a media system into different demographic buckets based on media content data associated with the media accounts, where media content associated with a media account can be accessed by a plurality of members in a household of the media account. A demographic classifier can receive a plurality of media accounts, a plurality of sets of probability scores corresponding to the plurality of media accounts, and a plurality of demographic buckets. The demographic classifier can further estimate, based on public available information, an approximate number of media accounts of the plurality of media accounts belonging to a specific demographic bucket.

  • Patent number: 9843223
Abstract: A system for controlling the area circuits that stem from a circuit breaker box in a building. A switch activation unit is provided and is wired to the outgoing wires of a circuit breaker box. The switch activation unit contains a switch for each of the area circuits to be controlled. The switches are wired in series between the circuit breakers in the circuit breaker box and the area circuits. A control unit communicates with the switch activation unit and selectively controls the on/off state of its switches. The control unit is programmable and can activate and deactivate different area circuits at different preprogrammed times. The control unit can also be operated remotely using a link to a smart device.

  • Patent number: 8920067
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a Concrete Decorative Inlay Process where the concrete slab is initially poured with a recessed section constructed with a rough broom finish on the bottom. After curing a bonding agent is applied and an artistic form is located on the depressed area and additional concrete, possibly of different colors or textures to enhance the design, is poured into the design cavity and a variety of decorative elements are inlayed this area. After the design area has cured the artistic form is removed and the recessed area is then filled in, possibly with still a different color or texture of concrete to finish the project. This allows ample time to work in close proximity to the design area and the ability of using different elements to enhance the design.

  • Patent number: 8816534
Abstract: A system of charging and utilizing rechargeable battery packs. A vehicle is provided that has an internal vehicle battery rack with removable battery packs. The vehicle recharges the battery packs when in operation. An auxiliary battery rack is provided that is separate from the vehicle. The auxiliary battery rack can also receive the rechargeable battery packs. A power inverter converts direct current from the rechargeable battery packs to alternating current. To utilize the system, the battery packs are charged by the vehicle. Once charged, at least one of the rechargeable battery packs is moved to the auxiliary battery rack. Once engaged with the auxiliary battery rack, the power inverter converts power from the rechargeable battery packs into alternating current. The alternating current is then used to power circuits in a building or to provide a mobile AC power source that can be used in place of a mobile generator.

  • Patent number: 8818532
Abstract: A system for adding controls to an area circuit within a building. The system enables specific outlets and fixture switches in the area circuit to be automatically and individually controlled. Smart outlets and smart fixtures switches are used. Each has a receptacle, an internal on/off switch, and a selectively changeable address code. An electrical power cable extends throughout the area circuit. A control unit is coupled to the electrical power cable and generates an addressed control signal within the electrical power cable. The addressed control signal selectively controls the internal on/off switches in the smart outlets and the smart fixture switches. However, the addressed control signal generated by the control unit must be properly addressed to a smart outlet or a smart fixture switch.

  • Publication number: 20140000214
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a process of creating a decorative aggregate concrete surface. The preparation includes washed decorative aggregate surfaces using a variety of decorative aggregate materials imbedded within a standard concrete mix having a one inch maximum aggregate. A 6-mil polypropylene sheet Visqueen material covered with a two-inch layer of sand is used directly below the concrete to retard the curing time. Roller tamping is used to move the large aggregate below the surface of the concrete material. Power brushes are then used to expose the decorative aggregate prior to the final process of applying a densifing sealer. This process has been designed to reduce installation time, as well as overall labor and material costs.

  • Publication number: 20090277127
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a process of creating a decorative aggregate concrete surface on both a slab on grade installation and a podium deck or topping slab installation. The preparation includes washed decorative aggregate surfaces using a variety of decorative aggregate materials imbedded within a standard concrete mix having a one inch maximum aggregate. A 6-mil polypropylene sheet 435 Visqueen material covered with a two-inch layer of sand is used directly below the concrete to retard the curing time. Roller tamping is used to move the large aggregate below the surface of the concrete material. Power brushes are then used to expose the decorative aggregate prior to the final process of applying a densifing sealer. This process has been designed to reduce installation time, as well as overall labor and material costs.
