  • Publication number: 20030151285
Abstract: An adjustable booster-type seat having a base 10 for supporting the seat on a flat surface, a riser 12 mounted for height adjustment on the base, a body support 14 having a seat and back mounted for arcuate motion on the riser 12 for changing the angular position of the body support 14 and being adjustable in height by virtue of the adjustability of the riser on the base. A restraint bar 16 is detachably connected to the body support and in turn adjustably carries a tray 18 enabling the tray to be moved toward and away form the back and to be mounted at different angles with respect to the body support 14.

  • Patent number: 5947133
Abstract: A dental flossing device is characterized by a flossing circuit comprising a floss supply spool and a take-up spool mounted to a housing containing a gear train assembly adapted to rotate the take-up spool in a winding direction. The floss feeds from the supply spool along a pair of prongs forming a forked extension of the handle and is stretched across the forked prongs and appropriately tensioned to be inserted into a user's mouth for flossing. To maintain hygiene, the take-up spool is mounted outside the housing. In a manually operated embodiment, a manually depressible trigger projecting from the housing is operable to rotate the take-up spool with reverse rotation thereof being prevented with a ratchet mechanism. Release of the manually depressible trigger reversely rotates the supply spool through a short arcuate interval to remove slack and then locks the supply spool against unwinding rotation through gear teeth.

  • Patent number: 5133569
Abstract: A training wheel assembly includes a pair of training wheels and a pair of mounting members for mounting the training wheels in outwardly spaced relation to opposite sides of a rear wheel of a bicycle. The training wheel assembly is adjustable for moving the training wheels thereof inwardly relative to the rear wheel of a bicycle in order to reduce the amount of support provided by the training wheels without increasing the tendency of the bicycle to yaw or wobble from side-to-side during use.

  • Patent number: 5107773
Abstract: A railway truck has a unitary cast steel frame with a primary wheel-set-to-frame suspension formed by chevron shaped metal/elastomeric pads between the journals and the frame pedestals, a secondary frame-to-bolster suspension formed by rectangular elastomeric pads in rectangular configuration, and a tertiary suspension between the bolster and the car. The primary suspension units are mounted by L-shaped members permitting ready vertical adjustment. An anti-roll torsion bar is provided between the bolster and the car body despite the limited available space by disposing it inside the bolster. Closer clearances are possible between the truck components by providing a cam and cam follower between the car body and the truck frame, in this embodiment between the bolster and the truck frame, that limits the possible lateral displacement of the car body as the steering angle of the car body on the truck frame increases.
