  • Publication number: 20240103386
Abstract: An apparatus for determining a condition associated with a pellicle for use in a lithographic apparatus, the apparatus including a sensor, wherein the sensor is configured to measure a property associated with the pellicle, the property being indicative of the pellicle condition.

  • Patent number: 9512800
Abstract: A valve assembly suitable for use as an inlet metering valve of a fuel injection system comprises an inlet opening, an outlet aperture, and a valve element arranged to control fluid flow between the inlet opening and the outlet aperture. The valve element is moveable in response to an applied control signal to a closed position and to a fully-open position, and is biased to return to a rest position when the control signal is absent. When the valve element is in the rest position, fluid flow between the inlet opening and the outlet aperture is permitted at a relatively low rate. When the valve element is in the closed position, fluid flow between the inlet opening and the outlet aperture is substantially prevented. When the valve element is in the fully-open position, fluid flow between the inlet opening and the outlet aperture is permitted at a relatively high rate.

  • Patent number: 9127610
Abstract: A method of controlling a vehicle engine system is described. The method involves sensing a pressure in the engine; generating a signal indicative of the sensed pressure; encrypting the signal to generate an encrypted data message containing information indicative of the sensed pressure; transmitting the encrypted data message to an engine control means; decrypting the encrypted data message to obtain the information indicative of the sensed pressure; and controlling the vehicle engine system in dependence upon the information contained in the encrypted data message. A pressure sensor for use in the method, and a suitably programmed electronic control unit are also described.

  • Patent number: 8607764
Abstract: A fluid accumulator arrangement suitable for use with a compression ignition internal-combustion engine comprising a first storage volume, a second storage volume, and valve means fluidly connected between the first storage volume and the second storage volume. In one embodiment, the valve means is a three-way control valve wherein, in a first position, the first storage volume communicates with the second storage volume, in a second position the first storage volume is isolated from the second storage volume and, in a third position, one of the first or second storage volumes communicates with a low pressure drain. The arrangement may also include control means to operate the valve means in accordance with predetermined control strategies.
