  • Patent number: 4942538
Abstract: A telerobotic system adapted for tracking and handling a moving object comprises a robot manipulator, a video monitor, an image processor, hand controls and a computer. The robot manipulator comprises a movable robotic arm having an effector for handling an object, a drive system for moving the arm in response to arm input signals, sensors for sensing the position of the arm and for generating arm output signals which characterize the dynamic motion behavior of the arm, and a vid=eo camera carried by the arm. The camera responds to motion of the moving object within the field of view of the camera. The video monitor receives an input video signal from the video camera, for displaying an image of the object to a human operator. The image processor is responsive to the output signal of the camera, and is capable of acquiring and pre-processing an image of the object on a frame by frame basis. The hand control is capable of generating a hand control output signal in response to input from a human operator.

  • Patent number: 4603502
Abstract: A lure structure formed of a transparent flexible material and designed to contain and display a bait fish, such as a shrimp, on the interior thereof wherein the chamber and associated housing are structured and dimensioned to allow free movement of the bait fish within the chamber and further include an apertured construction so as to allow free passage of water through the housing and into the chamber. The housing is slidedly connected to a supporting fishing line so as to allow sliding movement along a predetermined length thereof and substantially adjacent to a hook assembly.

  • Patent number: 4573730
Abstract: An aerodynamic drag reducing device for a pickup truck includes a tonneau cover which extends between the side walls of the pickup box and forwardly from the tailgate to a distance short of the passenger cab so that the tonneau cover encloses a rearward portion of the pickup box. Tonneau covers enclosing the rearward portion of the pickup box to a range of approximately 40 to 60% of the total length of the pickup box provide a greater reduction of aerodynamic drag coefficient than obtained with a tonneau cover enclosing the full length of the pickup box.

  • Patent number: 4003574
Abstract: A football-like game ball which is manually thrown through the air. The ball has a generally truncated ellipsoid outer contour with a Venturi-like nozzle passage extending coincident with a major axis of the ball. A plurality of weighted elements are located within or adjacent to an outer wall of the ball to provide rotational stability when the ball is thrown through the air and spun about the major axis.
