  • Patent number: 8114359
Abstract: An SNCR distribution grid for introducing a NOx reducing reactant into a flue gas flow. The grid is made of one or more elements which are formed by fluid-cooled tubes to which membrane pieces are attached, preferably by welding, to form conduits in between the tubes. The fluid-cooled tubes may be cooled by water and/or steam and the distribution grid is disposed in the flue gas flow. To admit the reactant into the flue gas, nozzles are provided in the membrane and the reactant is conveyed from a location external of the furnace or combustor enclosure, into the conduits so formed, and thence out into the Flue gas flow via the nozzles.

  • Publication number: 20090325657
Abstract: A user-customizable case is provided for at least partially covering a portable electronic device. The case may include first and second panels and a retainer for holding an insert bearing an indicia. The panels may be elastically connected to facilitate receiving many different sizes and shapes of portable electronic devices. The retainer may removably attach to the case to facilitate exchanging the inserts for customizing the device, insignia, or the like. The case may be included in a kit, along with at least one insert and a retainer. Related methods are also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20060227517
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention relate to systems, methods, and computer readable media for transmitting data to and from a rotatable storage medium. A hard drive configured for embedding in a portable device is configured with a standardized connection to enable easy interoperability between embedded storage devices and portable computers. The hard drive is augmented with additional connection pins that can be used for manufacturing processes. These pins enable testing instructions to be passed between a testing system and the hard drives in a cost effective manner, while not requiring any changes in end-user products that utilize the hard drives.

  • Publication number: 20050141139
Abstract: Methods to provide a ramp to remove a read/write head connected with a suspension from a media in accordance with the present invention can comprise calculating a grade of one or more surfaces having a plurality of progressively shallower grades. A transition between a steep grade and a less steep grade can occur at a nominal location at which the read/write head is removed from communicative proximity with the media. By shaping a ramp such that it includes a maximum steep grade, a surface of the media can have an optimized data region, potentially increasing the spacing of tracks or alternatively increasing the capacity of the media.

  • Patent number: 4852317
Abstract: A demountable panel system has panel members formed with peripheral edge surround sections of extruded rigid material. The surround sections included channels to receive panel material and leg portions with opposed grooves to releasably engage with a clip rail section. The clip rail section enables various panel structures, such as corner posts, to be interconnected with the panel members. The clip rail section has a tongue extending generally in the direction perpendicular to the panel member and so shaped as to be resiliently engageable with a tongue of an adjacent clip rail section whereby panel members or other panel structures can be clipped together along their length by relative transverse movement. The clip rail section includes opposed, outwardly extending flanges and perpendicular leg parts which cooperate with the channels of the surround section to form a recess having a narrow mouth.
