Patent number: 11995501Abstract: An RFID system comprises an array of antennas each configured to emit a plurality of beams in different directions. The beams of each pair of adjacent antennas are directed towards one another and overlap. A pair of adjacent antennas transmits simultaneously and the overlapping beams interfere to create an interference pattern. An RFID reader controls the relative phase and/or frequency of the beams to move the interference pattern to read an RFID tag within the moving pattern. As the chance of a RFID tag responding to an emitted beam generally increases with signal strength of the reader beam an area of constructive interference means that RFID tags in that region are more likely to respond to the signal. The system can cover a large proportion of the area below ceiling-mounted antennas, where cover generally means that RFID tags in that area will be successfully read.Type: GrantFiled: November 29, 2019Date of Patent: May 28, 2024Assignee: PERVASID LIMITEDInventors: Sabesan Sithamparanathan, Ian White, Michael Crisp, Richard Vincent Penty, Martin Neuhaus

Dynamic and variable controlled information system and methods for monitoring and adjusting behavior
Patent number: 11980825Abstract: The disclosed embodiments provide an apparatus and methods for assisting individuals in controlling respiratory rates. For example, a respiratory regulation apparatus is provided in the form of a plush animal toy that operates components to simulate the breathing rate of anxious individuals. The apparatus may include actuators that are controlled by a slotted cam that is dynamically rotated at varying speeds in a determined rotational direction. The actuators move inward and outward in relative directions to move a torso of the plush animal toy to simulate breathing. In certain aspects, actuators may expand outward while at the same time another actuator contracts inward to cause the torso to simulate realistic breathing movements. A processor controls the speed of the cam such that the simulated breathing of the animal toy apparatus can be reduced at a controlled rate to assist an individual in reducing their breathing rate to a calmer state.Type: GrantFiled: July 2, 2020Date of Patent: May 14, 2024Assignee: RIPPLE EFFECTS, INC.Inventors: Alice Ray, Leif Askeland, Richard J. Publication number: 20230013095Abstract: Techniques for adjusting the shape of an ion beam are described. Characteristics of a desired beam shape may be defined. The ion beam generator may include beam shaping elements associated with tunable parameters that can be set in combination with each other. A search space for the possible combinations is defined. A set of exploratory points in the search space are measured and used to interpolate a large number of interpolated points based on a regression model. Interpolated points that are associated with low confidence values may be measured. Based on the measured and interpolated points, clusters of tunable parameter combinations may be identified for evaluation. The clusters are evaluated for stability and sensitivity, and one of the clusters is selected based on the evaluation. The ion beam generator may be configured based on the selected cluster.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 14, 2021Publication date: January 19, 2023Applicant: Applied Materials, Inc.Inventors: Richard Allen Sprenkle, Richard White, Eric Donald Wilson, Shane Conley, Ana Samolov, Nilay A. Patent number: 11492091Abstract: A computer-implemented method of tracking vessel movement which comprises receiving a first vessel data message comprising a first vessel identifier, the first vessel data message having been transmitted at a first time and being associated with a first position; and receiving a second vessel data message comprising a second vessel identifier, the second vessel data message having been transmitted at a second time and being associated with a second position. The method also comprises determining if the first vessel identifier and the second vessel identifier are related. If the first vessel identifier and the second vessel identifier are related, a speed required for a vessel to have moved from the first position to the second position is determined; which is then determined if the speed is below a speed threshold; and if the speed is below the speed threshold, the first position is associated with the second position.Type: GrantFiled: September 5, 2019Date of Patent: November 8, 2022Assignee: Maritech Development LimitedInventors: Michail Gaziotis, Eliad Perpinyal, Richard White, Miguel Angel Cabra

Patent number: 11467808Abstract: Disclosed are methods and systems that allow a user to access indicia representing executable form items, click and drag them into a space on a display screen, and build a form of executable form items. The disclosed methods and systems allow the executable form items to be arranged and rearranged as the user is building the form. The form as it is being built on a display is executable as execution codes are attached the form items when the indicia is dragged onto a form view screen. A user will not need to consider how to define the manner in which the form items function. That is a user, in a single step, will select a form item that is a particular type to the build the form, and this form will immediately be executable. The form can then become part of a form flow.Type: GrantFiled: July 28, 2016Date of Patent: October 11, 2022Assignee: WiseTech Global LimitedInventors: Richard White, Zubin Appoo, Mikhail Sverdlov
