  • Patent number: 11242294
Abstract: This invention is a method for the processing of organic materials or organic wastes in a cost-effective and environmentally sound manner. The invention works both in the anaerobic or aerobic state. Processing organic material is accomplished by forcing the flow of gas through a pile of material, containing some organic matter, with liquids and gravity. The movement of gas and liquids through the pile results in very large increases in microorganism populations, accelerated evolution of the microorganisms, and corresponding increases in the processing provided organic materials.

  • Publication number: 20060105447
Abstract: This method facilitates the cost effective treatment of liquid and solid waste in a landfill or composting facility. The ability to distribute the oxygen to the waste and remove the spent waste is the key to the process. The process can digest a megafill or treat massive green waste pile. Waste moisture content is increased, eliminating fires and removing a major constraining factor to degradation. Large quantities of liquid are oxygen-supplemented (therefore treated) and are added directly into the MSW or compost to maintain aerobic degradation. Oxygen is the limiting factor; water is the distribution method. Temperature increases with the availability of oxygen. The bacteria break down the solid and liquid waste. The material is available for cover or agricultural uses. Facility space is reused, odors are minimized, and environmental risk is minimized. Leachate is treated to the needs of the facility, which can be anywhere between total treatment and pretreatment.

  • Patent number: 4696382
Abstract: A clutch to permit engagement and disengagement of a splined axle with a power drive means which has an inner axle hub, internally splined to engage with said axle and externally splined, and a body with internal ridges and grooves and external grooves and ridges connectable to a power source, comprising a clutch ring having exterior ridges and grooves, interior ridges and grooves and a plurality of rearwardly extending ramps; wherein said exterior ridges and grooves are engaged with said body internal ridges and grooves; a movable control body having a plurality of forwardly extending leaf springs registerable with said ramps; and a spring forward of said clutch ring; whereby rotation of said body causes said clutch ring to move forward so that its interior ridges and grooves engage the inner axle hub while reverse rotation causes the clutch ring to move rearward so as to disengage.
