  • Patent number: 11986707
Abstract: A golf club may include a head having a body and a faceplate coupled to the body. The faceplate may have a maximum thickness at a central location and a cross-section intersecting the central location. The cross-section may have continuously variable wall thickness across the faceplate. The faceplate may have a closed non-convex contour curve defined by constant faceplate wall thickness that encloses the central location.

  • Patent number: 7854397
Abstract: An improved apparatus for the gunning of a material is provided having a nozzle with an inner passage defined by an inner tubular member having an inlet end into which a wetted material is to be introduced and an outlet end from which the material is to be sprayed. An outer tubular member is disposed around the inner tubular member defining an outer passage between the inner and outer tubular members. A compressed gas is passed through the outer passage and impinged on the wetted material exiting the inner passage to better control the spray pattern of the wetted material. The inner tubular member extends out beyond the outlet end of the outer tubular member and the inner surface of the outer tubular member and the outer surface of the inner tubular member near the outlet end are chamfered to provide an optimal attitude for the impinging air.

  • Patent number: 6857668
Abstract: The threaded connection between the pin and the box ends of two pipes is sealed externally and internally to protect the threads in the connection from exposure to corrosive fluids. Seals are provided at each axial end of the threads. External seals are formed by metal-to-metal engagement between the pin and box and a third metal body secured circumferentially about the pin. The metal body may be fashioned into a desired annular pin seal surface to mate with and seal with the box at full makeup of the connection. The metal body can be removed and replaced as required to repair or reconstructed the pin seal surface.

  • Patent number: 6811189
Abstract: The threaded connection between the pin and the box ends of two pipes is sealed externally and internally to protect the threads in the connection from exposure to corrosive fluids. Seals are provided at each axial end of the threads. The external seals may be formed by metal-to-metal engagement between the pin and box or may be provided by an annular, elastomeric ring engaging the pin and box of the connection. A threaded compression ring may be used to compress the elastomeric seal between the pin and box. The seals protect dynamically loaded threaded connections from fatigue-induced failure in corrosive environments.

  • Patent number: 5126011
Abstract: A process for the preparation of high purity calcium titanate hydrates, particularly various forms of kassite, is disclosed. Calcium carbonate and titanium tetraisopropoxide are used as starting materials. The process utilizes a hydrothermal reaction step. Hydrates having both hexagonal form, wherein the particles have a platy morphology, and lath form, wherein the particles have a rodlike morphology are produceable according to the process. Particle morphology is determined by the choice of process parameters, especially the rate of heating during the hydrothermal reaction step. Kassite particles of the hexagonal plate form, which are useful as a high opacity paper coating pigment, are produced when the rate of heating is less than or equal to 1.5.degree.C./min. Faster rates of heating result in kassite particles of a lath form. These particles are useful as a reinforcing material in polymers and ceramics.
