  • Patent number: 7475793
Abstract: A bulk bag unloader includes a frame, a bag support, a hopper beneath the bag support and an outlet chute beneath the hopper. The hopper and the outlet chute are mounted to the frame for movement substantially in unison relative to the frame. Two vibrators are mounted respectively on opposite sides of the hopper and synchronized to generate vibratory movement substantially along the axis of the outlet chute. Thus, the vibrators function to achieve an efficient and continuous discharge from the bulk bag and employ the outlet chute to regulate or stop the flow in accordance with system requirements.

  • Patent number: 5937996
Abstract: A vibratory screw feed apparatus is provided for delivering controlled rates of particulate materials. The apparatus includes a double walled plastic trough having an open-topped upper recess. A hopper is removably mounted to the top of the trough for feeding particulate materials into the opened top upper recess. The trough further includes a bottom recess. A vibrator is mounted within the bottom recess. A screw feed assembly extends through the trough for feeding particulate material from the trough.

  • Patent number: 5007561
Abstract: Apparatus for feeding fluidized particulate material at a uniform preselected flow rate includes a reservoir for receiving the material from a supply inlet, a device for maintaining material in the reservoir in a state of flux, a chain type carrier for continuously removing and transporting uniform quantities of the fluidized material at variable speed from the reservoir along a predetermined path configured to prevent premature discharge of the uniform quantities, and a control system to detect the quantities of material being transported along the predetermined path to regulate the speed of the carrier according to the desired preselected flow rate, such that the fluid particulate material is discharged at the desired flow rate at the end of the predetermined path.

  • Patent number: 4520952
Abstract: There is disclosed a flexible sleeve to fit over the lower flange of a storage bin and the upper flange of a vibratory bin activator to span the gap between these two flanges and prevent leakage of material from the bin through this gap. The sleeve has upper and lower pairs of spaced circumferential ribs to receive strap-like clamping members and to hold the clamping members in place during assembly and after assembly and during use of the bin activator.

  • Patent number: 4475669
Abstract: A continuous flow, non-flooding gravimetric belt feeder is disclosed which may be used to convey fluid-like particulate material. The feeder includes an endless belt having spaced, transversely mounted cleats. A lateral wall is provided adjacent each of the opposed sides of the cleats and extending between adjacent cleats, thereby preventing the fluid-like particulate material from flowing along the belt, and thereby enabling the feeder to discharge the material at a steady, pre-set rate.

  • Patent number: 4310106
Abstract: An unloader for portable containers including tension hanger arms suspending a vibratory support from a fixed support and pivotally connected to each support to limit the vibratory motion to horizontal, reciprocal, rectilinear motion. For side outlet portable containers, the vibratory support includes a first frame portion inclined relative to the horizontal and a second frame portion, with a discharge orifice, extending perpendicular from the lower horizontal edge of the first frame portion.
